Two part post. The rest was for the jokers doing turkeys. You were only on call for the pudding.

I've never seen any for sale out here, hence the idea of making them from scratch. They actually tasted pretty good, but looked a bit like a car crash. Plus the pasta dough needs work, but overall I'm happy with my first attempt.
Try wonton wrappers next time. You can get them from the produce section in the grocery store. Brush beaten egg on the edge before you seal them. Saves a lot of time.
That's a good idea. Mind you, this was my first attempt at making pasta dough and the main issue was that it was too dry and needed a bit more seasoning. I've had the "dough too dry" problem before when making German recipes (something to do with the altitude and lack of humidity, I think) and I usually get those right after the second or third attempt.
I did Tater Tot Casserole. It actually turned out pretty good ( the kitchen is not my place)

Dear go NO!!!!
I had a bad experience with that stuff back in 85. Still get nauseous thinking about it.
Sage and butternut squash risotto with bourbon smoked sausages for me tonight.
Grilling some steaks and baking French Fries.
Now I have some questions:
What is in a tater tot casserole?
And what did you make Tim? Despite having a German grandmother my dining has been limited to sauerbraten and quests. That ravioli sounds like something my father would enjoy for Christmas.
If the tater tot casserole is like my wife's then it's browned ground beef onion bell pepper and cream of mushroom topped with frozen tater tots.

That sounds really good.

Tonight was roasted rosemary potato and leek soup with Wisconsin's cheddar and crispy panchetta.
In reply to Wally:
It is. Sometimes the best dishes are the easy dishes.
Tonight was a salmon steak with stirfry veggies and mashed taters.

Tortellini soup--Tortellini, Spinach, garlic, stewed tomato's in chicken broth. Pretty good. Then homemade banana bread for dinner.
I broiled some smoked pork sausage made by the local family owned butcher. I cut those up and mixed it with white rice, ground black pepper, some Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning and some butter. You can't tell I'm single at all
I had beer last night. Nine Stellas to be exact
