I'm so confused by these people. Why would they attack a military vessel? Are these guys typically high on something? Why don't they buy/steal an old Avon?

Because piracy does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Geneva convention, and because they are unlawful combatants...surrender really should not be an option. I agree with the assessment that they should be turned into chum.

It amuses me that in most of the world, "Red" is associated with communism and generally being Leftist. It was the same way in the U.S.A. for years and years- the phrase "better dead than red" comes to mind to those who grew up during the cold war.
Then, Tim Russert screws-up-on-purpse, reverses the traditional colors during the 2000 election, and now those self same people who used to utter the "better dead than red" phrase while waving their flags strongly identify with the color and think the Leftist blue states are to blame for everything.

I lean towards liberal. I've said it before and will again. I'm against the death penalty, but berkeley with my life and I'll kill you. I'd do the same to there pirates. Quit stereotyping.
I still can't immediately remember which party goes with which state. When I hear red in regard to politics, I think of communism, nothing else. There is just one party anyway - purple, I guess. Purple like the bruises we have from politicians giving us titty twisters and ruining our country.
