You know, this stuff:

I've had a couple of the canned iced teas, and they are quite agreeable and provide a nice lift. In fact, I'm fairly sure I sprouted wings.

I tried the tea about 5 years ago on recommendation from a friend. I didn't get much out of it but it wasn't horrible.
I used to make YM tea. Whew- does it not taste good, but it allegedly curbs hunger a bit. I don't know if it actually did.
It allegedly has a number of healthy attributes, including immunity booster, focus enhancer, and metabolism efficiency-izer!
I used to drink it daily when I lived in Chile. Usually sitting around the kitchen at night next to a fire and using the communal cup and metal straw. The first sips are always the strongest. Load it up with sugar and you have a good drink.
My wife was into it for a while a few years ago. I've tried it a few times. One of the most disgusting tasting things I've ever come across. Stinks too. A few sips would leave my tummy queasy for quite a while.
Beware of the gourd! That's the "proper" way to make it. In which case the inside rots and you get neat types of fungus growing in there, for added benefit.
I can't come up with a single redeeming thing to attribute to the stuff.
