I just found a $25 gift card for Harbor Freight, left over from Christmas. And I can't figure out what I should spend it on? Any suggestions? Preferably around $25?
Oh, NO CHEAP HAND-TOOLS. I already have most everything, and for hand-tools I prefer to save up and buy stuff that will last forever.
Heat gun is $19.99. Bought 1 plus heat shrink tubing today. I hope it works. Plastic gloves are $5.99 or so per box.
Brass Sextant $19.99
and Nose Hair Trimmer $3.99
Take the rest on a Georgio's Gift Certificate.

Wow. One I want, the other I need. Maybe I'll drop $25 there too.
Don't get that nose hair trimmer!!! It's a nose hair puller!

You can never have too much duct tape or WD-40.

consumables...stuff like welding gloves, flapper wheels for angle grinders, etc.
I love my angle grinder, and use it all the time, but cutting wheels and flapper wheels add up...
Does the gift card expire? If not, just hold onto it.
I leave either HF flashlights or keychain screwdrivers in geocaches as trade items. Don't think I've ever spent more than $1 on any one item, though.
Tire gauge, hot glue gun for the rhinestones for the next Lemons car, bondo, cheap dremel set exc.... When you window shop online you see so much more crap you need (or dont) sometimes it can help out (or not).

Wow. That's amazing. I might have to buy that...
I've seen a few autocross courses where that sextant would have come in handy...
+1 on consumables - nitrile gloves, grease, a decent denim or canvas apron, some safety glasses (Im always losing mine, so I stock up), shop rags, extension cords etc.
I removed most of the skin on the back of my hand with one of these. They put out a ton of light, but it sure does get hot. And not just on the front side; those cooling fins on the back are there for a reason.

I'll second the nitrile gloves. I go through those often enough in the garage.
I know you said no hand tools, but I've found this socket set to be very helpful at times, but not helpfull enough to spend what Sear or Snap On want for its equivalent:
your not kidding about the heat those Yellow lamps put out. I got two over the winter, and they helped heat the garage... I ran a fan over them to help circulate the heat and dissipate it slightly.
The Hf nitrile gloves are fo' E36 M3. One blast of brake cleaner and it looks like they got caught in a wire wheel. OTOH, the $1.99 safety glasses are great.
I need those! What are they called?

Well, the deed is done. I bought a $30 RC plane. I'm sure it will last for years...
Which one? They do have one that is pretty decent.
It says yellow bee on the side, and has two little engines. Waiting on the charger to go fly it...
