The interior of our dd Rondo is currently infested with confused tiny spiders who think that if they put a web across the bottom of the windshield they'll catch something edible.

The all-knowing Interweb says that they'll leave if I spray peppermint oil around and/or stick orange peel in my vents.

Before I make my car smell like a 12-year-old girl's lip-gloss drawer, does anybody have other ideas?

In reply to Stealthtercel :

Eucalyptus oil is what I was sold by a DIY pest control place. I think it may have been effective; I think the shop is just too sporadic in use and ensconced in the trees not to get some spiders no matter what I spray. At least it wasn't super-strong-smelling, and not sickly sweet.

Park it in the sun for... oh, wait. It may not work where you live.

Winter will fix it?

Yes, absolutely: as a Canadian I am genetically programmed to believe that winter fixes everything (with the possible exception of Vitamin D deficiency) but with my luck these little beggars will turn out to hibernate.

Planning to give eucalyptus a test smell soon.  (Thanks, Ransom!)  At least I can be sure it won't attract koalas.
