I just noticed that season two is coming out on November 22nd.
I really enjoyed season one but I'd consider Squid Games to be a very difficult series to make additional season(s) of.
Just having a new set of contestants / games wouldn't be interesting...what made Squid Games engaging was the underlining premise which is now established.
We've learned that the games are a long standing tradition so trying to change the premise at this point would be clumsy and awkward.
So that leaves us with going back in time...what social commentary from the past could justify a second season?
I'd love to hear from any other fans...are you just expecting more of the same or have you imagined something interesting.

That's not season 2 unless you know something I don't- it's an actual gameshow based on the TV show. So it's like physical 100 or whatever.
THAT being said- death game genre I love. Battle Royale, Squid Game, Alice in Borderland, all of it. I don't think it'd be hard to make additional seasons out of, personally. Pretty easy, in fact. You have the winner of the last season, who's now very wealthy and wanting to take the game down. PRESUMABLY there are other winners, potentially on the same wavelength. A whole guerrilla army of well funding dissidents, if you will. It''s also obvious that the games themselves are well funded, and I'd presume there are enough open doors to leave room for the standard "well heeled bad guy wants to watch the poors fight" trope backing the whole thing. I'd be interested to see how they spin it.

I'm so, so sorry to any Squid Games fans if I got your hopes up.
I couldn't give two $hits and a wet fart about some game show...my peepee has a sad.
Plot twist
Season 2 is just the average American worker who doesn't have a work from home position
