Amazing that my Bruins pulled it out last night!! The goalie interference was a bogus call, but one that will 100% of the time go against the Bruins. There just doesn't seem to be any consistency with those calls. With that being said the Bruins still don't advance in my opinion. I'm glad they pushed it to 6 games though. Seeing Mike Yeo beat his former team today was pretty cool Boudreau doesn't seem to be able to get over the hump regardless of the team he's coaching. And he's had some supremely talented teams.
Bring on Ottawa.
Let's go Rangers!!!!!
Too bad Ottawa and New York are the only teams left I'm cheering for, of course they play each other.
That being said, Rangers are going to take it in 5.
Anyone but Pittsburgh!!!!!!!

Let's see - I will only cheer for Canadian teams and . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I wouldn't cheer for the Senators, if they were last team on the face of the planet.
Let's go Oilers!!!
In reply to NGTD:
That's funny, the Sens are the only Canadian team I am willing to cheer for.
(And I'm not even sure why I initially liked the Sens, to be honest)
Living near the impossibly awful Canucks doesn't help any.
Disclaimer: I was pulling for Toronto, though only on the strength of disliking the Caps.
So, to recap: Rangers, followed by the Sens, followed by anyone else but the Pens or Caps.
Rangers or Capitals, since they are in the Metro division and I've got no love at all for the Penguins.

The Leafs certainly gave the Caps a run for the 1st round. Every game was a one-goal game, 5 out of 6 went to overtime. A couple of lucky bounces and the series goes the other way.
As a long-suffering Leafs fan, I am really looking forward to the next few years for this team. Hopefully they can keep the group together for a few years and make a run at it.
The Leafs looked good. The Caps, not so much. If they play in the second round like they did in the first, they'll be out in short order.

Unless they play like they did in OT last night. They looked really good then.
Gotta speak up the Caps, to beat the penguins.
I truly hate the penguins with the fire of a million suns. It goes back to the Super Mario days and all of the bs that came with those teams. I'm a card carrying true bleeds black and gold Bruins fan which means I'm supposed to hate the Habs more than any other franchise, but the pens surpass them in a major way. Please Ovi, take them out!!!

I didn't think they looked significantly different, but even if they did, the youngest team in the league that just barely made it in took them to overtime in all but one game. The Cap's should have steamrolled them and didn't.

I think Toronto is better than most expect- they played quite strongly- more so that they played better than the caps sucked. Sure, DC didn't play as well as they could, but there was a lot of Toronto showing their future out there- lots of smart plays.
Still, OT, the Caps were swarming all over them, which really was the reason Toronto took a penalty that ultimately decided the game.
Go pens.
Life long fan of the pens.
Why is there soon much hatred towards them?
I seriously have no idea.
I know sid seems like a whiner, but that's all I know of.

Number one is their bandwagon fans.
The fact that these awesome fans allowed the team to file for bunkruptcy not once, but twice.
Choose a berkeleying color scheme and stick with it!! Are we powder blue, or black and yellow? I still don't know. Seems the rest of the city has stuck with the black and yellow, maybe you should too. This goes for the Canucks too. Just pick a color scheme. Maybe deviate with a different shade here or there, but man that team is helter-skelter with colors, and logos.
The rigged draft to get Super Mario. "Winning" the draft lottery after the lockout season for Sid.
Owing said Super Mario somewhere around $30 Million in salary, but instead of paying him, let him buy the bankrupt team. Brilliant!!
The hypoctritical bitching by Mario about violence in the NHL while simutaneously paying Matt Cooke a salary. Matt Cooke!! Yeah berkeley that guy!!
Piss poor attendance for large stretches of time. Ulf Samuelsson! Another berkeley you for ruining Cam Neely's career!! Dirt bag!! About the only good thing ever to come out of that team was Jagr. Oh yeah, berkeley Matt Cooke!! Sweeping those bitches in 2013 was the best thing going, especially after the stealing of Iginla after the B's had "traded" for him. What did the Pens have 3 goals that whole series? Even though the Bruins lost in the cup final that year, sweeping Sid and Iggy was all worth it.
Edit: Mark Recchi was pretty awesome. Sad to say he was a former Pen.

There were no penalties in overtime.
The games were far more even, and the Leafs carried far more of the play than they should have. Caps way under achieved in the series, and will get decimated by the Penguins if they continue to play like that.

Wow, I cold have sworn that a Toronto player was called for holding. As I thought it was justified vs the call against Boston that ended that game.
But we will just have do disagree about the play in OT.

Here's the one I find particularly cheap:
Cup check

No problem. I think we were just watching different games, and one of us doesn't realize it.

That wasn't to hurt him, just get his attention, and remind him where he was.
So the west starts tonight...
After really thinking about it, the team I'm rooting for is Edmonton. But I'd be ok with Nashville winning.
Not a fan of St Louis, moreso Anaheim, hate the pens can caps, don't like the ranger, and can tolerate the Senators.
Geez, I've been living too close to Canada, apparently.

I'm with you. Despite being a hawks fan, I'm ok with PK winning it. I hope if he does that he takes the cup to the Bell Centre and flips the Canadians off. But we know he'll take it to his hospital and make everyone all happy.

Why would you say something like that ?
