These are a regular snack in my household. Switched to broiling over BBQ last time and I think I hit perfection. Nom nom nom...

Cut jalapenos in half, remove seeds, fill with cream cheese, wrap in bacon (half slice per). Usually I use toothpicks to hold them together and cook on the bbq, but they flame up and the toothpicks burn. So last time I used kabob skewers and cooked them on a broiling pan in the broiler. Don't remember how long, just kept checking on them. The cream cheeses didn't ooze out while cooking and the bacon crisped evenly all the way around. I'm drooling just typing this. Damnit I need to make them tonight!

I make them every now and then. They are really really good. I do it in the oven because it is easier. One tip for both the oven and grill, while I am preparing the jalapenos I soak the toothpicks in water. They absorb some of the water and help prevent them from burning.

Good call.
I did soak the skewers in water last time too. It also pays to use thick toothpicks. I've used the thin flimsy ones before and they broke while inserting and burnt quickly.
I made some Pear and Parmesan Reggiano Stuffed Pork Chops once when I couldn't think of a way to cook them. They turned out nommy.
Do not watch Diners, Drive-ins & Dives while doing the dishes late at night. You already had dinner two hours ago and are about to go to bed. You do not need a bacon grilled cheese sandwich at 11:00 pm.

That is usually on TV in the break room when I get out of work at 9PM. Pure torture.
