Steve was sick, but now he's back and making videos again. He was in pretty rough shape for a while. I'm glad he's on the road to recovery.

I saw that video last night. He's noticeably thinner and sort of unsteady on his feet, but it is good to see him back in action and getting better.
They sure didn't show much "walk", but he sounded on point, and walk you can excercise back into shape. Glad to see this, he has educated me repeatedly.
His experience certainly took the spring out of his step, but I imagine he can come back over time. I think he's lucky to be alive, from what I was able to learn about his illness.
Magnante is selling his '62 Dart project car.
Steve is selling everything. Cars, house, library. I wonder if it's because of medical bills or he just won't ever return to his prior physical state?
I didn't watch the Dodge video, so missed that. Well, that sucks. Another 'bad things only happen to good people' situation.
Its awful that Steve has to sell...everything, but I look at it this way: dude should be dead. There are a lot of dead people that would have given more to be in his place. A world with Magneto is better than one without.
I do hate to see him selling things off. I hope he doesn't fall into a disability spiral / trap. With the state of Motor Trend and Hot Rod, I suspect they are not in much of a position to help.
I did have a weird thought: If there were still speed shops (!) he could be a greeter! He could sit at the entrance in a tall chair and talk to people as they came in.
"Hey, welcome to World of Speed, what are you working on?"
"67 Dodge"....
[28 minutes later]
"....and that is why the 318 has the little tab on the intake bolt..."
I don't think Steve was getting a paycheck or anything from M/T. Remember his "Cancelled? What do you mean, we're cancelled?" clip inserts every time he mentioned them. I believe he was self-employed, which makes me wonder if he had any insurance.
