The advantage of having never been cool is I can wear whatever is comfortable and useful, and not care what other people think.

Goes through my head when I strap on all the padding at the skatepark. I'm pushing 40, didn't start skating until my 30's. I'm not going to look cool no matter what I do.
My job is cooler than anything they do anyway.
