Lets face it, the only real reason we care about over there is we have companies that want to sell more Big Macs and Cokes over there. We already sell that stuff in the gazillions here to our kids, why not ruin the rest of the worlds children.:)

actually, i see this as the exact same problem in Egypt.
most of Egypt would be considered moderate by any 'western' measure of comparison. the Muslim Brotherhood is not the majority, but they are to most organised of the political factions at work, and the most ready to resort to violence.
they don't want to 'come back to the table' after their guy got ousted, because they want to make any scenario where they aren't in charge so costly to everyone else that they'll just tolerate them being in charge for the sake of peace.
