oh, no need to. Go Hawks!!!!!!
LOl!! I was rooting for NYR(I know that is a tough pill to swallow as a Bruins fan), and the Ducks. Looks like I'm 0 for 2. It will be a great final series. I don't really care who wins now. I was on the Islanders bandwagon as they are my second favorite team, but they got knocked out early. I think the 'Hawks take it in 6 games.
I live in a college town with a very large number of kids from Chicago/suburbs and ever since 2010 apparently everyone looooooves hockey and the Hawks. I still don't care.
If Chicago needs to play their 3 remaining defensemen over 40 minutes a game in this series, like they did last one, I think they might be in trouble.
There should be a rule that you can only have a hockey team if the site has natural ice. NY, Chicago, any city in Canada - no problem. Anaheim? Nashville? Arizona? LA? No.
I was rooting for the Rangers vs the Blackhawks due to this rule. I'm very much against the Disney team for the cup.
Someday, we'll see the Habs back in it.

Dear Sir,
I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
I guess you shouldn't have a baseball team if you never have warm enough weather for green grass Sorry, Iqaluit. What other pro sports rely on a specific weather condition? Curling, I suppose. Surfing, but that's not been an issue to this point
All football fields should be open. If Seattle and Green Bay can play every home game in the elements, everyone can do it.

Your statement leaves me utterly baffled. Keith, Seabrook, Keith, Hjallmarsson, Keith, Oduya... That is six, right?

No wetsuits allowed for surfing?
I'm not generally a fan of stick-and-ball sports, but I do enjoy going down to the Shark Tank with my brother to watch some hockey! TV, not so much.

In the last series, 2 of them sat for most of several games. Game 5 or 6, 3 of them played over 40 minutes each. That's gotta wear people down.

You missed the joke.
I used to think the same way as Keith--- but then I realized that some of the Southern teams only exist because of the large amount of Northern ( Yankees-- to those who think the War of Northern Aggression is still going on) fans that have migrated South. If you've been to Florida, you realize that most people here aren't FROM Florida.
During the Nashville / Chicago series, they were trying to prevent Hawks fans from attending.....as they didn't want their home team's fans to be outnumbered by the visitors. I expect a TON of Blackhawks fans at the games held in Tampa. They might not outnumber the Lightning fans.....but it will be close. I"m going to try my best to be one of them. (if I can find tickets that aren't too stupidly priced)
HD-TV is the best thing to ever happen to Hockey. I"m just glad to be watching....the Chicago / Anaheim series was incredibly entertaining, I'm hoping for a similarly fun to watch finals......as long as the Blackhawks win! Teams like this Chicago team don't come around very often---- I'm going to enjoy watching them while I can!
Still, hockey is one of those sports that is much better in person than on TV. If you've never been to an NHL game, you should check it out......it's pretty hard not to have a great time.
Best hockey game I've ever seen was when we went to Denver to catch the Nordiqu...I mean, Avalanche. The game was pretty blah, just a bunch of guys chasing the puck around the ice like a soccer team of 5 year olds. But between two periods, a couple of girls came on the ice and announced that the Canadian and US Olympic hockey teams was playing the next night at the local college rink.
This was an Olympic year, too - Vancouver, I think. The Canadian team was pretty much set, the US roster was still in flux. It was a fantastic game because the girls played as if it were game seven of the finals, and they played clean instead of just banging into each other. The seats were filled with parents and friends and it cost next to nothing to get in. We knew we were getting a preview of the gold medal game. Fantastic night.
Back to TV - is hockey the only professional sport where the commentators are basically doing a radio broadcast? It's like listening to the original Hockey Night In Canada radio broadcasts over the wireless.

I just bought 5 tickets to game 5 in Tampa Bay. Combo Groomsmen gift for my wedding party, and Bachelor party. 1 coming in from Raleigh, 1 from Central IL, and 3 from Chicago. With flights and the hotel, it is about the same price for the tickets down there as it is in Chicago, but we get a trip out of it too.
But yeah, we'll be supplying 5 Blackhawks fans to Amalie
EDIT: I'll be super upset with a sweep.
If you haven't heard the American National Anthem in the United Center, you haven't heard the Anthem.
I have a pecking order for cheering....
Les Canadiens first..
other Canadian teams next..
Original Six teams from 'Murica...
.and then I don't much care, but no place with palm trees or desert should be allowed in a Stanley Cup final.
Oh, and Bettman should put another franchise in Atlanta and when it fails they can move it to Quebec.
