I know there are probably a lot of Gator fans on here, but is anyone else tired of hearing about them and Tebow? I know he is a great player, a super nice guy and all, but you can't watch a college game without the announcers fawning over him, regardless of what teams are playing. I'm just curious if I'm the only one who is sick of it.

If I had his publicist, I'd be rich instead of just good looking!

Hey, on spring break he went a third world country and performed surgery.

The issue with Tebow is that while he motivates like no other ON the field he is apparently a likeable, mature, nice kid off the field. They LOVE talking to hime much the same way Challenge participants like drinking beer with Tim Suddard.

I am calling his first of three DUIs to happen within 4 months.

Tebow actually does come across as a decent fella and a genuinely nice guy. That's going to make me feel even worse for him when he fails so miserably in the NFL. The guy's obviously an awesome athlete, but he's just playing in a system that's not going to give him the skils he needs for the pro game. If he had any smarts he'd transfer to a school that runs a more NFL-style offense for his senior year.

Are you thinking of Phelps perhaps?

I heard Tebow's tears can cure cancer.

Or was that someone else who never cries...?

We tried that for the first part of the year, but we, like, LOST a game!

He's got the size, athletic ability, motivation, and leadership skills to pretty much play almost any position in the NFL that he'd like. He doesn't have to be a QB, he's got the size to play linebacker, tight end, full back, or defensive end. He could also be a wide out and he has an arm so he could be used as a dual threat. You think somebody with that type of athletic ability and personality to carry a whole team on his shoulders would fail in the NFL?

BTW I just got home from Miami, so worth the time off work, money, lack of sleep, and hangover to go to the game. We were tail gaiting next to a bunch of frat fags who were obnoxious as hell.

He SHOULD come back for another year and go for the 3rd National Championship hat and Tshirt deal. I hear you get a free order of Frickers chicken with the third one. (three guys in Ohio are laughing their ass off right now)

He could be quarterback in Miami or anywhere else that has one of those stupid wildcrap formations, or he could get behind a good offensive line and try the conventional passer plan. He impressed me with his armstrength this year but for "real QBs" I would take Graham Harrell.

I think someone with his raw talent could succeed, but the NFL is all about specialization. If he wants to succeed he needs to figure out SOON where he would best fit in the pro game and hone his skills in that direction. Ask Kordell Stewart how the whole "slash" thing worked out for him.

Nothing decent to add to this conversation, but...

Go Gators!

I'm in the grey (what?! My other Gator shirts were in a stinky, wrinkled ball in my hamper).

Excerpted from an AP wire report:

"There was speculation he might head to the NFL, especially since he has talked about wanting a bigger platform to share his religious message and expand his community work..."

If I want a religious message, I'll go to a church.

Superman has another reason to wear Tim Tebow undies.... it seems Timmy has been playing hurt as well.
