Is this a comment on performance or durability? I may eventually be in the market for a used, autotragic econobox. Not meant as a hijack. Just this one question. I like the Focus.

Sometimes the transmission makes choices that you might not entirely agree with, just like an......automatic! Works fine most of the time and the manual mode is reasonable if you prefer more control.

Having owned automatics in everything from a 69 Dodge Charger to the most anemic four cylinder FWD, I think I know how they act and feel. Torque converters suck behind anything but a strong 6 or 8. The dual clutch is better by far.

The transmission is not perfect but I wouldn't trade it for the regular auto in any other car in the same price range.

It's here. The Mrs. picked up her new Fiat and we bid farewell to my Cavalier. It really is a neat little car and I had fun taking the scenic route home from the dealer. She already has a new chrome fuel door for me to put on and she is looking forward to spring when we can loose the hubcaps and put on some better looking wheels.
