Crikey, why in hell did I ever hit "play" and put myself through two hours of this movie? Don't watch unless you enjoy train wrecks, complete with puppets... and power tools.

Go ahead then, knock yourself out. But don't say I didn't warn you...

Good performance by the tormented teenage son though.

Gee, and it sounds so promising. How could it possibly go wrong?

Beavers and power tools?

Put this in the category best served by manual labor and earnest teachers/students...........

Well, without totally giving it away... the main character, Walter (who is bat-E36 M3 crazy) can only communicate through the beaver puppet. Eventually, he tries to break free of its control, rather unsuccessfully... until in desperation he decides to use the skill saw...

Is it wrong that a part of me really wants to pick up a puppet on my way to work one day and see how long i could pull it off?

Reading the thread title and the author, I wasn't sure what I was going to find in here. I knew it would go down hill fast though.

Is it on Netflix? I actually want to see it, if only to make fun of my S-I-L, whom we call The Beaver.

If you are going to end up watching an amputation flick... might as well go all the way.

If the puppet looks like a Pirate and you have the dialect downpat, sounds like good solid reasoning to me.

My first thought was a TOTALLY demented Muppett-movie "knock-off". Then I remembered, this was that Mel Gibson movie that landed like a rock at the theatre.
