congrats chandlerGTI
Raced at the SCCA Majors at PittRace last weekend and got a win on Sunday. I've been fighting handling issues all season and disconnecting the rear sway bar brought the car to life. Heading to Daytona in September for the Runoffs.
Both bosses just left for the tennis tournament at Kings Island, and on the way out said to use the company credit card to buy lunch for us (4 worker bees). Yay for mini vacation day.

Congratulations!

We feel that way when they bring donuts or ice cream in. We will whore for food.
Headed to V.I.R. for two days (Fri-Sat) with credentials and camera to lean against the guard rails for a while - time to forget about Jacob & C.F. for a little while anyways.

Beginning the move into my intermediary man-cave this weekend (renting a brand new basement suite in a brand new house off a fellow car guy). This will be good prep for when I go full retard in 9 months with the rally posters, boba fett portraits, and nintendo character models all over the new condo.
Also, next week I am invading youse guys' borders, so you betta recognize when I am in Seattle. First road trip in the Corolla (I'm bringing ear plugs!)
I just used a micrometer torque wrench for the first time. I bought it on a whim when I was picking up stuff for an oil change.
Damn. Those are nice. I wish I'd bought one ages ago.

I did that last weekend and the wife complained abut the mulch I used.
I visited a friend and got to spend 10 minutes on his razor drift kart thingy that his wife bought him. What a hoot.
Back at work this morning. I've been off the grid all weekend with SWMBO and about 20 friends and acquaintances on a white water rafting trip down the New river in West Virginia. Two days (and one night) rafting, camping, drinking beer, and generally rebooting the brain. Saturday night I stared into a campfire for a solid hour (sober!!) instead of a screen.
Today I'm sore, tired and sunburned but it's all well earned and makes me happy.

So, adults fit then? Hmmm...
Finally free of the credit card debt I'd been struggling with since I put my AE92's custom exhaust build cost on it in June 2014. Protip: if you're buying a car with a fart can on it, it can be hard to tell if the exhaust leaks like a sieve.
3 weeks and no good moods? I'll bump this... My Fiat dealer posted on Facebook he had Dayton Concours D Elegance car show tickets for free, stopped on my way home and snagged a pair (~$40 value). And today starts the Comic Book Expo in Cincinnati, which while I'm not a comic book guy I am highly interested in the Star Wars City section they have. Last year I made a good haul of assorted stuff, and the full size displays were fun - a Star Wars figure box you could fit in, a speeder bike, detention cell photo opp...
Been holding off on vacation. Now that the weather is changing, time to finish things up around here starting w/ detailing 3 vehicles. I own some nice stuff but they're filthy, not my style.
No OT this weekend so I'll have 9 days off.... starting NOW.
The falcon has had a hot misfire for a few weeks now. Traced it down to a bad plug wire this afternoon. Made a nice new set, tucked up all clean. Much better. Not sure why anyone buys premade plug wire sets. They always fit like garbage.
A restoration shop we have do our acid dipping was having an open house so a coworker and I popped in to look around. 40 cars, all 50's-70's American iron all with lsx swaps, the same mustang 2 front ends, the same 9" rear ends and the same wilwood brakes. Kinda boring in the sameness but outside was a swap meet and I scored a brand new 65 mustang gas tank and sending unit for $20. Now I get to mod it for an internal fuel pump!
Job search results have been slow lately. I have two resumes out right now, jobs seem okay for this area commute wise but pay may be lacking for my trades. Still not counting on much though. Really need to get outta my current job before I go berkeleying nuts.
Out of nowhere this morning the Facility Manager calls from a plant I interviewed at over six months ago. The position is open, it's unadvertised, am I interested? Oh, hell yes. This was one of my dream jobs, pristine facility, excellent pay for my trades, good commute and it's midnight shift... my fav.
Interview next week. I must be livin' right or the Gods of Labor are having mercy on me for the last four years of eating E36 M3 at my current job. Boo-yah.
You'll need to log in to post.
