I can't tell if that looks awesome or headache inducing.

Looks good, I want to see it more now!

I was thinking the biggest challenge to keeping cars running in a Mad Max world would be tires. With the demand for tires going way down, it would be really hard to make them at any reasonable price. Different compounds and treads would be the first thing to go, all tires would be made of a long-lasting compound and would be made thick and slick before being hand-grooved if desired.

Its fun trying to pick out the cars (or at least what they used to be.)

I didn't know what to think after the first preview, but this makes it look worthwhile.

Bucket loads of CGI. I remain skeptical.

CGI is fine, I'd have been surprised if Miller hadn't taken advantage of the leaps in technology since he made the originals. I just don't want Max to go all soft like he did in Thunderdome. I like the hard edged bad ass Max from the first two movies.

Well hello captain buzz kill!

No, really, you are right. I also think how hard any spares would be to find, but it's best not to think too hard about these types of movies.

It looks pretty good to me. Yes, lots of CGI, which I am generally very against, but it seems to use a lot of practical effects. Most importantly, the CGI is used when appropriate (when a practical effect is not "practical") not just because they can. If you want to see a horrible WAY over CGI movie, see that horrible RIPD (then again, don't)
