I wonder how many people who were born after 1976 can really understand just how big he was.

Must have been busy putting on make up. Sucks that a loss of life was involved.

I wonder how many people know he finished 2nd to Pruett in the IMSA Camel GT series championship standings in 1986 or that he won the GTO class at the 12hrs of Sebring in the 7-11 Roush Mustang that same year.

Its sad that he's a punchline now when he's the only member of the entire wretched family that has actually done anything productive with his life. I also had no idea he raced back in the 80s either, I'd heard something before about racing in the Super Trofeo series I think.

If he wasn't associated with that merry band of morons I feel like people might not be E36 M3ting on him for his personal life like they are.

If it comes back that he was sober, how much would fall on him? Any reprocutions on the paparazzi chasing him, if that was true?

Jenner was a national hero because of his Olympic accomplishments and always came across a genuinely decent person. I give him the benefit of the doubt and say he still is although it is sad to see his family doesn't share the same ideals. Family, you can't choose them...

GPS's link states that Jenner volunteered to give a blood sample for testing and I saw a report where he had passed a field sobriety test. The legal issues are going to be tough because he rear-ended the car that went into traffic and got hit again. It was in that car that the fatality occurred. He can afford great attorney's but none of them can ease any feeling of responsibility he carries.

Women drivers......geesh.

If he's wasn't drunk and wasn't speeding, my guess is it will be called an accident. Then he only has to worry about the civil side of things.

My condolences to the woman's family. That would truly suck.

I knew he was an olympian. I also knew the woman he married was a succubus- I blame her for it all. I did not however know he was a racing driver, and a good one at that. Neat.

Well in the pics he appears to be braking and swerving to the right in an attempt to avoid the crash. His trailer seems loaded safely by what can bee seen. It's interesting that apparently one of the paparazzi were parked at that intersection and was able to capture the moment of impact. Maybe that's truly what distracted him? He certainly had good driving skills in the past...

It doesn't surprise me there was a camera man there, its a great place for car spotting especially on weekends. Last time I was there I was a 458 Italia, BAC Mono and a Maybach over the course of an hour.

That's a shame, had they hit the white car square on it might have been less severe.

I just found out who Bruce Jenner is today.

"Being chased by at least 5 papa-holecameralosers" would be the key to my legal defense. Then try to pin at least some of the responsibility on them. If they would leave people the heck alone there probably would have been no crash

They are reporting today that he is not being considered the cause at this point. I do find that a bit hard to believe though, he did push the car into traffic. Even if a car stopped in front of the car he hit, he should still be responsible for leaving a safe stopping distance I would think.

They are going to pulling cell phone records of course. Probably about a 50% change anyone involved would be on the phone I would guess. Not sure a call is incriminating, since you don't know if it was hands free or not. Texting of course is another issue.

I didn’t know that getting rear ended with a Hummer could be deadly, I sure hope Allison Williams is OK.

Personally, I just think he was annoyed by how little he’d get in trade for his Hummer at the Subaru dealership and was looking for a quick way to get out of it.

Joking aside, so far, I see no fallen hero story here.

In terms of changing genders, I just hope he finds happiness and I don’t think it detracts from his successes in any way.

Additionally, he passed the field sobriety test and cooperated with the formal test so at this point, it’s just an accident.

which, i realize now that i read it, is probably the only time you will ever hear of an Escalade being used for anything resembling truck duty..

I wonder if that news anchor is reporting that he was a passenger in the vehicle.

he must charge a lot to plow driveways... or he's got a Suburban with Escalade sheetmetal on it, which isn't uncommon..
