The "Reacher" that can pretend to be almost Reacher's size, but not the greatest actor, or the guy 1/2 Reacher's size, that - despite not being a very good person - is actually a good actor?

I'm in. It's directed by Guy Ritchie, who has more hits than misses, IMO. Speaking of him, his new Netflix show "The Gentlemen" is really good. It's loosely based on his film of the same name that came out a few years back.

Yeah, that's the one. The movie is pretty decent, nothing amazing, but it's entertaining. The show is better, IMO, because it has a chance to develop the characters a bit more. They are very loosely connected, you don't need to see one to see the other.

I've probably watched that scene 20 times. Never fails to brighten my day.
I have a feeling I've read a book about that group. They were hardcore--planning on taking a page from Vlad the Impaler by nailing Wermacht testicles to trees if there was an invasion...

Clicked the link expecting Will Ferrel. That would have been a very different kind of movie.

The Critical Drinker referred to the bigger of the Reachers visually as "a condom filled with almonds" - while that is a weird visual to imagine, Its not entirely wrong. Its a nice homage to the books.
Combine that with Cavil who is both a great actor and a beast, and a topic that is always fun, I think im 1000% in on this movie.
So what's the verdict, guys? Who's seen it?
I saw it Tuesday. It was entertaining. I don't think it's going to go down as a classic, but it was worth watching. Definitely better than most of the movies I've seen in the last few years.
Just got home from seeing it. It's a little bit like Inglorious Bastards meets Casablanca meets The Guns of Navarone. I wouldn't say that it's the best WWII movie ever made, but it is absolutely worth seeing.

Inglorious Basterds has its moments, but it's painful to watch in the same way that Everybody Loves Raymond is painful to watch. Far too many long drawn out moments of awkward.
That opening scene, however, nails it. And I had a serious laugh when Brad Pitt's character complained about how dumb an idea it was to fight in a basement.
