Some people just don't think about what they're putting their kids thru. It's cute to the parents and their friends for a little while, but the kid's gotta live with it for the rest of their lives! I just hope he doesn't feel he has to live up to his middle name.
I wasn't afraid of naming my son Tanner Brown, My wife is a tough little shemale and I am 6'3" and have hovered around 300lbs for 20 years or so. Odds were good that he was going to be a biggun.

I've actually considered changing my middle name to Danger. Or Action. Or Speed.

A friend of mine has the last name Martins. I suggested she call her first kid Aston. Doc for short. My friends don't listen to me much when I make suggestions for some reason.

Congrats, Rusty!

I heard a great quote once, can't recall who said it (and I heard it on NPR, so I'm sure it's some obscure author or artist):

"..I held that wriggling mass in my hands, and knew I'd never feel content again.."

In context, he was talking about feeling worried, instead of feeling happy. And he was right. Mine just turned 18, and I'm more worried than ever!

Well worth the ride, though.

I was in a restaurant tonight and a little 3-4 year old boy was sitting there shouting loudly at his father "I want some money. I want some money. I want to buy some stuff"

You have soo much to look forward to.

congratulations, Rusty! you have an amazing journey ahead of you. there's a great book out there on raising healthy, happy, well-adjusted kids. it's called "Kids Learn What They Live". remember the title every single day, and you will never have to read the book.

Little update: AHHHHH!!!!!!

She is a crying, pooping, sleeping machine! She will cry and i would pick her up and put her pacifier in and she would stop crying, but it would last 2-3 minutes tops before she spits it out. She is definately a night owl and we are trying to beak her of it. Some of the stuff thats in her diaper will make a grown man gag! Shes an angel thru the day, but when 10 pm comes around, she springs to life!

Wait, you shaved before you took her to the hospital? You jerk. You could have done it while you were driving and gotten her to the hospital a lot faster!
