Usually there is enough room in here to get my work van inside and close the door. This is what it looked like this afternoon. 22 doors to install in the next two weeks all over the state.
Good for business, but hard on an old fat guy. There is a good chance I won't be on here much. I'll be recovering instead.
The drummer is going to be pissed if he has a gig coming up.
Too bad you aren't farther west, I'd like to put a front door on the house.
But once I'm not being paid, I become very lazy.
This kind of door.
Automatic pedestrian doors. Like you would see in a grocery store or a hospital.
That would be perfect to replace the French doors on the back of the house!
I'm sure its out of muh price range though!
About time you did some real work.

You laugh. I have actually installed a set in a rich guys house. He said it was too hard to open his patio door when he was carrying a platter of steaks out to the grill. Off the top of my head that door was about 9K. Must be nice to have money.
Funny this thread came up. I'm putting on a Pella front storm door at my aunts house tomorrow. I hate doing doors. They often don't really "fit" you have to MAKE them "fit".

Seriously. Did he get a job or something? Congrats on the binniss, man! Get a pre-emptive scrip. for some pain killers/muscle relaxers, a big jug o' Evan, and fight your way through that E36 M3, homeee!
hehhehheh toyman said hard on hehheh
Four of the easy ones done today installing operators on manual doors for ADA compliance.
Monday and Tuesday will be building frames for the next set to be installed Wednesday. Demo and replace two doors at a hospital in Beaufort.
Thursday and Friday will be installing four doors at a new hospital in Myrle Beach.
The real fun starts the 7th. 12 tear out-put back. Taking out old ratty manual doors and putting back shiny new automatic ones two hours from the house.
After that I think I'll die for a little while.
