Thanks everyone for the great suggestions and answers to my questions during the pregnancy.
Last Friday we welcomed Claire to our lives.
(I don't know that I embedded that properly https://www.flickr.com/photos/alexsoduk/shares/Y69K04)
The delivery went very smoothly and the hospital was fantastic.
We brought her home in the LS430 last night and she is very happy to be home. The cats have already accepted her and are very curious and protective.
It was truly the most amazing experience. I now understand what all of you dads were saying, and the dads to be are in for something incredible!
Congratulations! enjoy the rested feeling that you have now as you'll never feel it again
Lots of hair! Don't worry when the bald spot starts to show up on the back of her head- She's just rubbed it off.
Welcome to the world of worrying about everything in the world...
Congrats! Like others said, enjoy being rested now, you won't be again for about 18 years!
Congrats, I am looking forward to my first born in April.

Is this the most GRM post ever written?
Congratulations to all parties concerned. There has been a minor rash of difficult pregnancies and deliveries lately; it's nice to hear about one that went smoothly and well.
We're no substitute for medical professionals, but we can definitely help out on dealing with the thousands of "Wow, I never realized, what do I do?" things. Here are my pro tips:
1) Encourage and assist with breast feeding to the greatest possible extent.
2) Get her outside as much as possible before the weather turns cold.
3) Don't obsess over cleanliness and germs. Let normal people hold her.
4) Change diapers promptly and willingly.
Welcome to the crazyness. Oh and what Duke said.

Welcome to the club. No friking idea where the 21 years went since I joined.
As the father of a girl unit, just go ahead and tattoo the word "sucker" on your forehead, that way you wont have to wonder if its actually written there.
Just so that you know, your child was born with a PhD in "grown up psychology". She has nothing but time and energy to build on this knowledge and control you as she sees fit. Your two on the other hand, are going to be learning on the job while sleep deprived.
Awesome work, Dad. She's beautiful.
Don't be surprised if the dust starts bothering your eyes at weird times. Hold her tight and often while you can.
