I'll take waffle house over denny's any day of the week!
I miss white castle and really miss steak and shake.
Ohio also has skyline chili in play I would think...

Most of the Denny's near me have closed as well. The one we used to go to after playing shows and getting home at 3am is now an Advanced Auto.
Of course, there's a Denny's near the Waffle House location near Allentown I posted earlier...
I go to the "sandbox" to chill and not meaning to rub it in ....but seat time on the the JD4410 in the backyard to me is far more therapeutic than pounding a dozen WC's with an IPA infused chaser.....just sayin'
On the drunk food thing...
We don't have Waffle House here in New England. I really wish we did. Denny's isn't the same, and IHOP is even worse. We used to have a Boston area chain called Bickfords, and that RULED. Some of them were 24hrs, and they were like a bigger Waffle House with more choices and better food. And yes, there were drunken brawls and insanity, just like the real thing! Wanna see some guy named Sully headbutt a dude for no reason? Want to convince your drunk friend that the bowl of ranch dressing on the table is "Floridian Clam Chowder"? (yes, totally did that BTW) Bickfords was the place. They tried to go upscale late in the career and offer things like steak and lobster, but drunks at 1AM aren't looking for surf and turf, so they went under. So sad.
Now we settle for McDonalds, or if it's an early night, Wendy's.
On the stress thing:
I've been watching for historical posterity, but have been largely stress free. I had it in my head that this would be a E36 M3-show of epic proportions, and that helped! Work and an ongoing Elder Scrolls: Skyrim playthrough has occupied most of my headspace anyway. I haven't cracked a beer yet, either. I actually haven't had one in almost 2 months now. Trying to be good for a little while.
We've recently discovered that a nearby Irish pub does really good takeaway.
Three beers, a shepherd's pie, some roast Brussels sprouts, and an episode of the Great British Baking Show and I'm feeling near human.
It doesn't hurt that a couple of the beers were Jubelale, Deschutes' winter warmer.
