I have no idea if we have ever had a tread about the meat in a can but I was feeling very silly right now and had to post this. And feel free to share anything about the cans or meat. Nothing else about mail or stuff. (insert evil laugh).

Unbeknownst to you sir, the same day you created a "spam thread" two different guys showed up to work with the same two cans of different flavoured spam (one bacon, one jalepeno).
What is going on and why?
Take some rice and prepare it sticky (don't rinse it before boiling).
Then, cut strips of spam, and roll them in sticky rice. Like a sushi roll.
Enjoy cheap, american sushi. Add some cream cheese if you're feeling saucy.
I did not have much exposure to spam growing up, but its decent when you heat it up in a skillet with breakfast. Robbie's idea sounds good.
Now corned beef hash on the other hand. That is my jam. Extra crispy please.

It's called Spam Musubi, a rather common thing in Hawaii. I am a fan.
Actual Hawaiian style recipe is a bit more involved:
Kids talked me into buying some a while back, since one of their friends thinks it's great. I hadn't had any since I was a kid. I was somewhat relieved that my kids and I all arrived at the same conclusion: Disgusterating!
My wife is Korean and some Korean cooking dishes feature Spam...I think the proliferation of US Army nonperishable foods during the war helped. As an American, I really have no clue what to do with Spam....
That being said, one of my favorite Korean dishes is kimchi fried rice which, believe it or not, is excellent with Spam.
My wife went vegan on me a couple months ago. My 13 yo daughter tried it with her. That lasted about 2.5 days until I cooked SPAM. She couldn't resist.
Sliced and fried for me, plus a couple of "raw" slices while prepping.
Mom bought more Spork than Spam when I was a kid. Not sure it still exists.
Klic was a Spam competitor then, I think.
I don't think I will bother looking for either.
I thought a "spork" was a half spoon, half fork eating utensil that was neither a good spoon nor a good fork. Had no idea it was also a processed, gelatinous, over-salted meat by-product like Spam as well.
When I was a youngster I ate the hell out of Spam...or Treet. Always pan fried with a little Heinz 57 on it.
So what's everybody think of deviled ham? I ate the hell out of that too. Add a little mayo and sweet relish on spread on saltines.
MMMMM Spam Musubi is delicious.
And I do like spam. Never ate it as a kid, but every once in awhile spam fried rice is delicious.

The kind that dosent go into ham that dosent go into hot dogs that dosent go into scrapple goes into spam.
