Tell me about. I think that's a 60 or a 61. So awesome.

My most recent wagon purchase, and the subject of a build thread here.

Cooter wrote: How have I missed this thread? Love wagons, and try to have at least one or two in the Stable. Bought this SW1 new in '93. Developed the infamous cylinder head crack in '07, and made the mistake of letting a friend swap a new head on it for me as a sidejob. He forgot something in #1 cylinder... Then we got the "Roadmattress" Wonderful ride, and the smoothest car I have ever driven. But the Optispark woes swore me off LT1s forevermore. Shame, as it was a wonderful Road Trip car otherwise, with over 20 MpG if I kept it under 85... After that there was another SW1, and a 66 Coronet wagon, a '72 GMC Suburban, and an '87 GMC Suburban that I bought right here on the forum. Sold it here, as well, when the trans finally gave up the ghost a couple years and who knows how many 10s of thousands of miles later. It was very good to me, and I worked the heck out of it. (More Later)

Oops. I did it again.

There are at least a couple DD K wagons in between there and here, but I feel I should add my latest Poor Life Choice® (Utility Division) to this thread before I forget it exists again.

Saab Model 95; V-4, 4 speed on the column and a Corvair turbo can be screwed on easily.

I learned to drive partially in this (also a Volvo 760 Turbo) so it has a soft spot in my heart:

The rear facing seat and pop out rear vent windows were perfect for shooting bottle rockets.

I saw one about 10 years ago that had a Corvette engine in it. Surprisingly it didn't seem that great.

I keep seeing my old Challenge Roadmaster on craigslist. Seller is even using my autocross pictures in his ad. Not sure if that helps or hurts his chances of selling.

Yes, you're build was very inspirational to all of us Wagon Lovers. After all it's your fault that I now have a 1995 Roadmaster parked in the driveway

My sister and I both decided wagons were excellent choices. Mine is the Subaru and her's is the Volvo, with Dad still on the hunt for an e39 wagon

I've always hated that front end. I think it's because I think the '66 is the peak of fullsize Pontiac styling, and it just plummeted so rapidly to the "four eyes sucking on a lemon" face. This is so lovely to me:

Not nearly as cool as many in this thread, however there are many like it, but this one is my own. 6 speed wagon has to count for something. I like it a lot.

I forgot about this thread. I'm back in a wagon now. 2003 325iT. Factory sport & premium packages. 5-speed manual!
