The rear roofline needs to be just a tad higher with less slope.

If you can afford a Rolls, you don't need any concessions to aerodynamics spoiling the upright haughtiness of your station wagon's derriere.

The Rolls is just shooting brake...whatever the hell that means.

To my understanding a "shooting brake" is typically a three door wagon.

According to Wikipedia, the term originates from an overlong horse wagon, used to "brake" unruly horses.  Lords of country manors soon began to use them to ferry hunting parties around the estate.  For taking guests to and from the train station, wagons like these were also useful.

Still doesn't make that body styling look right, even when you see the inspiration:

Currently a 110 with a 4 on the floor. Soon to be a built 140 with fuel injection. Has firechicken wheels painted to match the car and corbeau seats. Was originally white with a black top. Color is a Subaru color with extra pearl. Top is tan now. Disc brake conversion is sitting in a box waiting to get installed too.

I don't have any good pictures of it on my phone but I'll take a few tomorrow since I'll be in the building working on MazdaFace anyways.

I love the old Audi station wagons. Last year I bought a '98 Audi A6 Quattro Avant (the last of the C4s with a 12 valve V6). A great wagon with AWD and a rear facing flip-down seat. I caught up on some maintenance, then drove it to Phoenix (1,200 miles) with my youngest daughter and gave it to my older daughter. We rode back together  in one of my Boxsters.

Here's one of the reasons I love my wagons:

I know it's not brown and rear wheel drive enough for the typical GRM wagon connoisseur, it is in pretty good shape.

My parents had an '87 Escort Diesel sedan. Only car they ever bought new and they had to special order it. The guy is not joking with the 50-70mpg fuel estimates. Rolling on the thruway, they once averaged 75mpg, no joke. My father is not a man who exaggerates and he's a machinist, so he's good with math.
