I think these would be more accurately described as Shooting Brakes rather than Wagons, no?

In reply to Recon1342 :

Yes.

It is a good looking car, even if it is not technically a wagon. I like it.

In reply to Chesterfield :

The British talk about any 2 door "station Wagon" as a Shooting Brake.
Since it's a TWR / Jaguar sport it's a 330 horsepower version. Plus I believe they had the Getag 5 speed manual transmission  option too.

Learned something about 2 door wagons.

Is the '57 Nomad a wagon by their terms?

I love wagons, this was my Caprice Wagon. I am now driving a Suburban (caprice wagon with lift kit) but I am ready to move back into a real wagon, love the Mercedes wagons!

beauty

is that wearing e39 540i 6MT wheels??

Yes they are. It came with wire hub caps and I was able to get those BMW wheels right. I cut Chevy bow ties out of the center of Impala center caps and epoxied them over the BMW logo's. Probably sacrilege but it looked factory and sharp. I had a lot of little custom things on this car, it was one of my favorites because there isn't much you can do wrong to a B-body wagon!

I don't know?  I'd assume so but I've never seen a Chevy Nomad in England or English magazines. They do have some glorious "Shooting Brakes"  though.

I must confess I like wagons, and have affinity for Ford wagons, my dad was a Ford guy. My dad drove a 67 fairlane wagon when I was a child, our family car growing up was 76 gran torino wagon, and I learned to drive a stick in my dad's 80 pinto wagon. I have lots of fond memories of station wagons.

A Chevy nomad is a wagon to me, so is a 2dr wagon. When I think shooting brake, I tend to think of sports cars or gt cars converted into wagonesque shape.  I am not sure of the actual definition of a station wagon, just my rambling thoughts.
