I've had it worse than that. On at least three occasions, they evaluated my trade it and offered me below a low-ball offer. Each time, I complained and they went back and looked at it and each time they came back and said, oops, we looked it up as the wrong year/model. Yea right. You got every number there was on that car. BTW, I did not buy a car from any of these guys.

The Wholesale Shakedown is when they point customers shopping on a budget to the wholesale line and use pressure tactics and other stuff like that. I believe what you're referring to is called "lowballing the trade," which usually happens after you "parachute the trade."
