Rush is the most overrated band ever and the have the most obsessive fans.
My wife put the top down on her Solara an lot the first year she got it. I always felt stupid riding around with the AC on and the top down. The top now goes down less than she does.
berkeleying savage, man

Neil Young
wait - what? I have fond memories of a 17 year old me driving across Wyoming and Colorado in a rebuilt 1973 Chevrolet 4X4 jamming on Rust Never Sleeps - My my, hey, hey and Hey hey, - yeah maybe they do sound the same\?

Oh my E36 M3, I tell my wife weekly that I feel like every one else is an adult, and I'm just faking it, and it's all gonna come crashing down pretty soon.
I wanna live with a cinnamon girl
I could be happy the rest of my life
With a cinnamon girl.
Neil Young is a Berkeleying genius!

See that's the thing. It all sounds the same. Paperback writer, help, they're all the same! I wont argue that John and Paul are gifted artists, they are. But they wrote the same E36 M3 58 times and made a billion dollars. So did nickelback.
You are aware that they made some music after 1965, right? I agree that their early stuff is forgettable bubblegum pop, but Revolver, Rubber Soul, Sgt. Peppers, and Abbey Road are masterpieces that fully deserve the acclaim they get.

Because A Day in the Life Of sounds exactly like I Want To Hold Your Hand. The lyrics of Eleanor Rigby and Twist and Shout are practically identical.
Yup, pretty cookie cutter...
The Beastie Boys are full of E36 M3 when they say License to Ill was satire making fun of people who took stuff like Fight for Your Right at face value.
They were young, dumb and making tons of money. Of course they were rapping about girls and drinking and such. How many of us would have done any differently?
And knowing that, it's still okay to like that record. RIP MCA.
Things everyone knows, but you aren't supposed to admit: this thread is proof that by the time any online discussion reaches four pages, people will be fighting over inconsequential things.
Ferrari, Jack Daniels, Patron, and Harley Davidson all completely suck when their products are used as intended, but sell very well as a brand.
In reply to Hungary Bill :
I hate to admit this, but evidence would suggest this is no longer true for Ferrari as the new ones seem to work well and be reliable. But I applaud you thinking.

I thought that was KISS.

Like I said, paul and john are talented musicians. But it all sounds the same to me.
