In Feb? Not much. I will always suggest driving the two hours to B'ham to see the Barber Motorsports Museum.
I am always down for a brew. Send me a PM, we could meet at a Taco Mac or something.
Road Atlanta

Seriously though, I haven't been there in 5 or 6 years. There were some fun bars and restaurants down town. Gokart track somewhere too IIRC, which is not likely in this case as that was very much a drinking trip...
Not a lot of motorsports activity in February. The best recurring auto show in the area is Caffeine and Octane. Indoor karting at Andretti is also fun. There are a number of tuning or restoration shops in the area, if hanging out at a garage is up your ally. Alpharetta is the epicenter for exotic car sales, and I've taken my Dad and Father in Law to drool over the Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston, Maserati, Bentley, Rolls, Porsche & Lotus models found on the strip.
When we have out-of-town guests we usually take them sightseeing and to a museum. My favorites are the High Museum of Art, the Georgia Acquarium and the Fernbank Science Center. Kids like to visit the World of Coca-Cola, and the wives like the high-end shopping at Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza. There a also lots and lots of good restaurants all around town.
40 years or so Atlanta was the place to see & do the Wimmen. Couple of years ago my so went there 2-3 times for BMW tech classes. He reports that it's still the same.
I was there a couple of years ago and got some of these. I have a cousin there, so I've been there off and on over the past 30 years. That City Pass thing came in handy, if a bit pricey. Loved the Aquarium, World of Coke was iffy, the Zoo is cool, Inside CNN tour gives you a tour of the CNN/Headline news sets (Robin Meade gives tours on Thursday, last I heard)...
That's what I had fun with.
you can go to South Side Steve's Bar on the southside. Just dont wear a flat billed hat, wont get in. Its a Smokey and the Bandit themed bar...

Robin Meade as tour director?
Hallelujah! CNN just achieved relevance!
If you're lucky, there will still be ice and snow. Nothing is funnier than watching Atlanta people trying drive around on slippery roads. Most of them have trouble enough on dry roads!
Dante's Down the Hatch in Buckhead is the only place that I know of in the area that has live alligators and pirate ships. If you like that sort of thing.
Wow! Thanks guys. I've got some free time so I'm going to spend a few days with my brother. He's in the reserves and has training in Atlanta. So during the day it'll be just me to wonder around and kill time till he's done for the day. I'm not a drinker either so bars aren't that fun for me. I'm sure he let me borrow his car to check out Barber motorsports museum
If you are into licking the underbelly of society there is always the Claremont Hotel! The "dancers" at the bar are very very experienced ....cough....cough......from what I've been told.
The only reason to go to the Clermont Lounge is so you can tell all your friends what a horrible experience you had there. Now the Body Tap (bka the 'Booty Tap,') that place was legendary...until it burned to the ground.

That place is awesome. We went there for our anniversary late last year. Awesome atmosphere, and Dante is a cool dude. He knows alot about everything.

It's been over twenty years since I was there.
Some things you wish you could forget, but are cursed to remember forever.
Andretti's good for Karting. The CNN tour is worthy as well the Coca-Cola museum. Both a near Cenntinial Park.
Not to say "do a search," but there was just a thread in our Off-Topic message board about visiting Duluth. That's a suburb of Atlanta and some people gave some good suggestions.
I lived in Atlanta for two years and went to school nearby in Athens, and it's a fun town. I lived in Virginia Highland, and it's a neat part of town--little restaurants, bars, clubs, etc.
The Varsity is worth a stop for an F.O. and a dog.
And if you have time go check out Athens. Road Atlanta is definitely worth a visit, too.
