I believe that if someone posted that they wanted a car midway between a 3 series BMW and a 7 series BMW you guys would have them building their own car out of Lada and Niva parts that can only be sourced in certain parts of Bulgaria.
Double so if he/she said they have no tools, no place to work on a car and needed a running car by Monday or they would lose their job.
I mean, I'd just say get a 5-Series. But I can't weld so I have to take the easy way out

That is good because my avatar is me.

GRM the Keyboard! The writers love these....
A GRM keyboard would have hotkeys for each of the forum sections and an 7-segment readout above each one to indicate the number of updates in each section
And all the pixles would work for ever!!

A GRM keyboard would be manual, with no top. And would probably leak.

Yeah, but it would cost $2016.

Ben is alive. I talked to him yesterday. He still has my other mx6.
I sometimes post in threads I don't care about just because so many threads die after I post.

You look way too serious Dean. Not like I have much room to talk though, I'm sitting in a cemetery.
Berkley was chosen as a replacement for the "F word" simply because every state in the union has a town called Berkley or Berkshire or something close enough to make me giggle as I go by on the highway. Further, every town has a dry cleaner/donut shop/garage/funeral home called Berkleys which causes me the same issue. This was chosen specifically to reinforce my wife's belief I am, in fact, a 12 year old in a 43 year old's body.
Some people are randomly returned from the dead for one post then fade away into the ether again.

I just added him on work messenger maybe he'll talk to me too.

I talked to him the other day via text message. I sent him a pick of a Miata engine with an EFR Turbo on it. That got his attention.
My forum belief is that everyone on here is an inherently cheap bastard.
I secretly believe others refer to me, behind my back, as one of those airplane guys on the forum.

Everyone on here is an inherently frugal bastard. "Frugal" is buying a $500 car and knowing with a few hundred well-placed dollars and some sweat equity, they can render a perfectly usable functioning vehicle. "Cheap" is buying a $500 car and expecting it to be perfect.

I resemble that remark. My real face is much uglier.
I read peoples posts in the voice of their avatar. When Dean was Beaker his posts didn't make much sense. The guy who is Denim Renim yells all the time.
Many of us have ambitions larger than our abilities, and those were fueled by something they saw in the magazine or on these boards. However, we're confident when our ability runs out, we can get the answers we need here.
We are generally a civil, level headed bunch. I've met a few of you guys in person for the first time and was able to have actual conversations with you as if we'd known each other for a while. Hell, DCulberson and EvanB even bought me pizza.
Many of us browse Craigslist for no other reason than to see what's out there. Then we post the things we find that we want to buy in the 2xxx or open sections and hope somebody swoops in before us. Or maybe that's just me.

I secretly believe that most of the words people used to refer to me involve the filters.

For most of my 72 years I have made it a point to learn something new every day. This forum makes it easy. However, some times it means that hours of further research is required.
In reply to Hal:
Agreed. This place is the spark that started many a forest fire in my brain. It is the Internet manifestation of Dave Colman's "Medulla Badidea" article (seriously, look it up.)

Me too. Hell, I'd be disappointed if they didn't. I can come across as a bit of a filter sometimes. But I mean well by it.
I believe the rallycross guys are in here acting as the best possible form of zombie, or maybe vampire... some sort of thing that turns other things into that thing... What I'm saying is, a lot of them have shown up and now I keep trying to figure out where the closest rallycross group-deal-thing is.
I'm surprised in the number of people that apparently don't know you just type the swearword to get the filter to do its job.
You ignorant berkeleying E36 M3heads.

Seriously, I feel like the kiss of death to threads sometimes.
I like to think it's because my words are so wise and profound there is nothing left to say. My insecure side feels otherwise.
In reply to wvumtnbkr:
Back when I was just lurking around here, it took me entirely too long to figure out why everyone was putting E36 M3 and berkeley into their sentences in random places.
I will someday own a E36 M3 with a UC Berkeley college sticker in the back window.
