Scrolling through my buddies site, I ran across this gem on his S2k....
I once saw a shot of some cars at a software company with a whole bunch of funny personalized plates, one of them was "RTFM"
Best one I ever saw was actually in C&D in the early 80s. New Jersey plate with state name at the top, and the "Garden State" motto at the bottom. Tag was "IS NOT A".
I see one a couple times a week that says LOW FART
LOW is an acronym for the community where the guy lives, but still, I only know that because I see him turning in there.
A coworker had Gotoples on his convertible Mustang. He said a lot of guys would pull up beside him and go Aw E36 M3.
For years my buddy had "puke" as his plate in Ohio. That was his nickname (can't remember why). Then after having it for something like 12 years, he went to buy registration stickers for it and they told him they wouldn't renew it. He figured political correctness was the thing that did it in.
I saw a guy with 4Q on his plate. DMV here obviously didn't say it out loud, but it also made me want to key his car. And I'm a nice guy.
Most of them I see around here are from chicago, il and pertain to golddigging.........normally on navigators with dem rimz

....yet I know someone who was denied 69AMX for their 1969 AMX because someone thought that any reference to "69" must be a sexual innuendo.
(...and until it was explained, all I understood in the OP's post was the Nurburgring outline.)
Mildly off topic, but you'll get the connection in a sec. My brother is a police dispatcher, and one of the funniest people I know. He is constantly berking with his officers. One of the officers on duty called his cell to get some info for a ticket he was writing. When he asked to repeat the tag number, my brother said "Island Mary 4, Paul Nora Sam". It took the officer a second for it to click, then got pissed because he had to rewrite the ticket lol.

Anything with RX in it is denied by Ohio, too.
I do believe that there's an appeal.
