Weber grille lids make a nice flare, too, You just need 2-4 to make it work, depending how hard you get your flare on.
The plan entails cut off wheels, grinding, drill and rivets. Possibly several gallons of evaporust, but I'll likely just use the phousphuric (sp) acid brushed on to clean up.
When I saw the pic, for some reason I didn't notice the fender sitting on the barrel.
I was like "Oh, using a steel drum for steel to weld up a flare is pretty neat."
I admit I'm not the sharpest peanut in the shed or however that rocket surgery joke goes.
Or maybe you are planning on cutting up the drum to use as a flare?
At first I thought you were using the lip of the drum use as an anvil to expand the lip of the fender.
I should probably stay away from sharp objects or heavy machinery.
What the heck is that poor fender covered in? Looks kinda thick.
Is the barrel going to be the donor for this fender extension in any way shape or form.
