Oh, that's so *precious*!
I was just working in my garage. The thermometer said 122F.
TIL that some people consider 95 degrees to be hot.
Im hot at 85.
Today i learned im a pansy.
In reply to EvanR:
95 is hot. Just because you live in a sun blasted hellscape that says "berkeley all humans" every single day doesn't mean that we sane people need to recalibrate our personal thermometers. ;)

TIL if you're nice to the road construction crew that is rebuilding the dead road you live on, likw wave and smile even when you are running late and you have to wait a couple minutes for a piece of machinery to move. If you do this, you might come home to a couple massive scoups of extra gravel nicely graded over you 500' driveway. Score for me!
Try bringing them a Box O'Joe and a dozen donuts. They might even repave the apron for you.

I get too hot around 100f. Other than that, I wear a fleece pullover all year at work because the air conditioning is too cold for me and the heat is never warm enough at our end of the building (we are over the loading dock)
I get hot at 90 and cold at 75. I've been wearing a jacket or coat all week.
And then I was finding myself getting pissed off doign underdash work because my glasses kept fogging over, and according to HAL it is 60F outside.
I'm all for the metric system, but its temperature scale is useless on a personal level. It's like, 22 is too cold and 23 is too hot, or something. It's like trying to set your clock by what epoch it is, way too granular for human use.
today I discovered that the Japanese make kick ass mitersaws. I picked this up off of Amazon and it arrived today. WAY overbuilt, adjustable, and much better than I realized it would be. The idea I would be able to cut an angle the length of a board with this never crossed my mind.
TIL a 5.9 magnum that ran when parked at least 2 years ago will start on the same half tank of gas that was left in it if you hook a half dead battery to it. The exploded transfer case won't heal it self though.

TIL that 45 year old me hurts a lot more after doing hurricane recovery for my company than 28 year old me did 17 years ago.

What thread should I look for this in? This is news to me, but I haven't been around as much lately.

Today I learned the preferred method of making my engine noise go away is to beat the snot out of it. I'm ok with this.

In 1976 someone was crazy enough to race a Dodge Charger in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Ah, the good ole days.

Large. I guess it's good I found out now instead of the wife finding out at her desk tomorrow.

There's in car video on YouTube of that sweet bastard running LeMans.

Today I learned that Casa Bonita is a real place, not just a place in the cartoon South Park. My brother showed me pictures, stopped on the way through Denver. The hot tip is, "Do NOT eat the food."
