The cheapest person (society wise) are the super exercising types. If everything is good, they grow old and don't need much (Jack Lalanne) if there is an "issue" they expire quite promptly at a somewhat young age (Jim Fix).
How many super exercising types do you know that have various rehabilitation's and surgeries for exercise related problems? The superfit may be cheaper, but they still aren't cheap.

I can't fathom why some schools did away with recess and PE for kids. I'd expect a huge spike in behavioral issues in school if kids can't work off all the energy they have.
No kidding! As a teacher, I hate rainy days. Kids go frickin' nuts. If there's a 5-minute break in weather, I make the kids go out and run laps. The difference is very noticeable.
yes, we need to spend money on our future.. but we keep devastating their programs to balance the budge.
Typical short sightedness that got us into the mess we are in.
As for weight at 5'11 and 180 pounds... I FEEL fat.. I was up to 195 at the beginning of the year and have been slowly taking the pounds off by eating less of the crap I used to. Now that the weather is breaking, I can spend less time indoors and more outside where I can get myself into better shape and really burn the calories.
As an "utoh" the other day I had my saab apart and realised I needed an socket extension to finish the job. I hopped on my mountain Bike and rode the 5 miles to NAPA. Surprisingly, I did it at a good clip and was not the least bit winded.
There may be hope for me yet.
