The ones I go to don't allow torches and the like. Battery powered are fine. Even if the battery is a car battery Some have heavy duty metal push carts with old rims for wheels, others have supermarket shopping carts. Some places don't have enough so you have to wait on someone in the parking lot and grab theirs. Try pushing a shopping cart through an unven dirt and rock junkyard.

I've seen guys use those hand trucks, some weld up a mount for a car battery and use the handle to hold tools. My buddy used to have one of those cheap lightweight foldable ones, didn't last and wasn't particularly useful.

These days he's rocking a wagon with air filled tires, tool box and power tools, radio, piles the stuff on top. If he has someone roll with him they grab a cart from the yard if there is one. Me... I have a heavy canvas bag, kinda like a beach tote, just with the essentials plus some. No power tools. Throw it in the cart/wagon or throw it over my shoulder if there's no cart.

I use a husky bag and found a really nice shoulder strap that was lined with like a rabbit looking stuff - its wide and made of leather - can wear it across my shoulders on my back freeling my hands and not having it swing around for my upull it trips..
