I'm looking at some options for a "toy" in the spring. My Neon R/T is fast and fun enough that Im not looking for something faster with 4 wheels. I think the best way to break down my options is this;

  1. Motorcycle. Being in upstate NY, options for used bikes are limited, and most are 1-2 year old models that are priced withing $1000 of new. Front runner in an SV650, 6K new, not too high performance yet able to haul my 250# butt around.

  2. An off-road toy. A clean Bronco can be had for less than 2k. It has double usage as off road fun, plus I can use it for hauling and such.

  3. Convertible. Down side of miata, trying to find one at a decent price withing 200 miles of where I am.

Not too high performance is relative. In the short time I had mine I had no trouble staying in front of traffic and I was in the break in under 4K (or whatever it was) RPM window.

Pick up a sand rail. You can have at least two of those with one air-cooled tube-framed wunderkart.
