I don't know if anyone already posted this, but the GT86 won some things during the 24 Hours of Nurburgring.

As i'm anxiously following this car and it's cousin, i'm pretty excited to hear how well it did.
racing notoriety = bigger aftermarket
me likey
Notice the TRD body kit and stance...me likey.
I have a hard time seeing that thing as a Scion.
Two class wins, a third and a retirement. Nice work!

I love what they are doing with the car... but the term "stance" makes me itch
Nothing wrong with "stance" to describe the rake angle, ride height and wheel gaps, as long as that stance isn't hellaflush
still hate the term.. never thought about it until it got corrupted.. it's right up there with "i" anything in my book
Stance is fine. Stanced is stupid.

This bodes well indeed. Gotta love some actual competition credentials. I'd be interested to hear the prep level of that class.
I'd like to know how much was left stock. I don't trust race cars to have anything similar to what's available to normal folk after seeing what goes into building a Subaru rally car.

In reply to DaveEstey: agreed, pretty much what I was getting at.
The two winners ran in SP3 and "near production" V3.
Here's what was posted to one forum:
"Pretty much the same spec for TRD's racing parts kit, with some safety equipment as required for VLN for V3 Team Suisse
The SP3 class Gazoo car were allowed heavier mods in suspension, gear ratios, and aerodynamic aids, and greater degree of stripping interior, but according to Tada-san, not much else in both teams, and basically running with stock engine with limiters removed, and a little more agressive fuel and timing map to allow for sustained high rpm/speed use without heating issues. (meaning it wasn't really for making more power per se, but to assure that it is running optimum mixture to minimize pit stops, and leaning the operation more to track use and eliminating any parameters created that was a compromise for mundane street usage.) "

Well, that wouldn't bother me much. When i think of getting an FRS/BRZ i think of modifying it to be quite different from stock (Weight reduction, Turbo, back-seat delete, suspension mods, lightweight wheels, ect) so if the racing versions are kind of escalated, i don't think it's a drastic misrepresentation. Just my opinion, though.

I think I'll just thank thee for doing the work for me.
Thanks!
