If Trump actually managed to get into office, the time table for the arrival of Idiocracy would be moved up by decades.
Actually, everything everywhere seems to moving that time table up.

If you like his politics and complete oblviousness to his own failure but don't like the magnitude of his image problems, Carly Fiorina is for you!
My favorite Trump joke (censored for the dinner hour):
Donald Trump is alone on an elevator. The door opens and a beautiful woman enters. The doors shut. The woman recognizes The Donald, looks him up and down and says, "You know, I could get down on my knees and [bleep] you right here and now."
The Donald replies, "So what's in it for me?"

You want to send back Rush rather than The Biebz or berkeleying Nickelback?

The sad thing is if I had to pick between a Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich, it wouldn't matter either way.

I have to wonder if Trump even listened to the lyrics before picking that one as a campaign kick off song - or if he did pay close attention and the whole campaign is just one epic bit of trolling.
In all seriousness, I'd gladly pick Hillary or even most of the guys on the Red Team over Trump, and I'm no big fan of Hillary. Sanders is my favorite by far.
It's all a big PR move. If he was a serious canidate, I would be terrified. Last time he did this just to hype up his new season of the apprentice.
Well, in fairness, having no lobbyist loyalty, and not being a career politician, when taken out of the context of the remainder of his entire existence, does make the Don sound pretty good, comparatively speaking. There's something to be said for someone with a reasonable level of business acumen being in our countries leadership...

It's funny. So many people love Sanders, yet nobody gives him any chance at winning... Hmm...
I see Trump playing this game for as long as he can until he is forced to disclose financial documents. For some reason, I doubt he is willing to let the world know how rich he actually is (or isn't).
I find it hard to fathom that anyone really thinks it matters who they vote for in a Presidential election.
Don't let this politics thing distract you. We need to focus on exploiting Earth's natural resources before they run out! Get your fair share! Take a shower! Flush that commode! Water the lawn! Quick!

If only we could make those big oceans useable.

Why, because a publicity-seeking shiny happy person is running for president? That's hardly anything new. He knows he has no chance, this is all about keeping his name in the press for a few months.

Maybe. But this time he appears to be flaunting it.
He verbally stated in his announcement speech that he was worth $8.7 billion. That's double what previous estimates were. He also said he is the most successful person ever to run for the presidency.
His aide handed out a one-page summary of his assets and liabilities, and Trump pledged to release the full financial disclosure, including income tax returns, required by the Federal Election Commission before the first debate.
His approach seems to be, "Sure, I'm a jerk. But I am a monstrously successful jerk, who will be the greatest jobs creator ever, and who is incredibly skilled at negotiations. Would you rather have a loser run your country?"
It's an interesting approach. It's a win for him regardless, even if it's nothing more than a publicity stunt.

I approve. I still think he's a nutjob, but i approve.
Dusterbd13 wrote: So at what point did this country pass the point of no return?
It didn't. We are at the event horizon of a retard black hole. From outside it just appears to stay completely stupid forever. But, from the other side it just gets more and more dense until.... Retard Singularity!
In reply to SVreX:
Successful only if measured by how much money one has earned.
IMHO, I think Eisenhower was more successful before his running for President. But one does not earn much money liberating Europe from Nazis.
Heck, for that matter, both Bush and Kennedy were more successful, since they risked their lives in the same fight. As did Dole, Humphrey and others.
Measuring the amount of money as THE success measurement is pretty weak.

Just a thought - does this mean he'd effectively put the lobbyists out of business? Would he instead just buy out congress straight out of his own pocket? Would he take the lobbyists cash, turn around & buy out their backers?
It could be interesting, it could be good, or it could potentially be very bad...at least it seems so to me.
