Thanks for the update Bill. It looked bad on the news, wasn't sure the extent. On a back at home note, just got back from Seattle/Portland and surrounding areas, and while I was wandering around the Northwest Cultural Fair at the Space Needle, noticed a Ukraine Defense Support flyer, probably would have never noticed the colors & what it meant if it hadn't been for you and your efforts! Thanks for what you do, and providing a way for us to get involved as well!
Thanks man. Never in my life did I ever think we'd be in such a position. I'm glad we're here though.

Any updates after the Nova Kakhovka dam explosion?
everything that happening can be described in one word - CATASTROPHE!!!
it's a humanitarian and ecological catastrophe
i have no words to explaine what i feel, what all our people feel
I watch videos from people who are there, i read their messages - i'm crying
When I think what is the scale of the tragedy and what will be the consequences - it's awful
just watch stories from this account

Usually i'm a very cheerful and positive person, but how i'm totally depressed as do a lot of people around me
we all ask the question - WHAT ELSE??? How many more deaths how much more destruction of civilian infrastructure?
How much longer can they keep destroying our country?
A completely senseless war...

I just don't even have the words anymore.
I put donation boxes out at our office to collect locally, and I can see that someone put in a bit of money already. I sent out an e-mail with our GFM link and people are beginning to share it throughout the company. More than one person has written back letting me know they sent it to multiple other offices.
I'm not a religious person, but I hope there is a Hell and Putin has a place in it - sooner rather than later.
VikkiDp, I am sorry for what has happened to you and to your country.
In reply to VikkiDp :
My heart is breaking for you, your country, and especially all of those civilians and patriots caught downstream of that dam. Even being so far removed from it, I have no words... Only tears.
Whatever you are feeling right now, I cannot even imagine, but you are justified in ALL of it.
Guys, I'm about to travel for work so I'll be remote for the next couple weeks. Before I head out, I did want to do our part of the raffle. Here goes (and using a random number generator), the winners are:

Dark Monohue, 84FSP waiting for your addresses
I came up with something as a second prize for the August run
So we'll have two prizes - a set of stamps and something else
i think you'll like it

Lemme tell ya, those darn drums were adjusted TIGHT!!!!
In other news, that clutch is working GREAT!!! I did not think that half a millimeter off that flywheel was going to make a difference, but that clutch grabs right in the middle of pedal travel now.
Ohhh, i missed this post great work you did
Regarding the overkill brake fluid (Vikki, this is "Racing Brake Fluid, and it's boiling point is somewhere near the surface of the sun. It's something you'd use in a competition race car).
Apparently it's cool stuff
On Friday Mrs. Hungary will be home so I'll have her in the drivers seat for a 2-person full brake bleed.
Ha-haaa, almost the same story - about a week ago we pumped the clutch with my husband for two or three days
Hungary Bill, CJ, Driven5 thank you guys for you support - it's really important
Such things really throw you off balance for a few days - and it's impossible to get used to it
Aw, I forgot to enter for that drawing.
My donations have been sent successfully bill! Just so you know, sending the package of school supplies direct to Ira would have cost between $415 to $1,100 dollars, so I opted instead to send directly to you instead for obvious reasons It's clearly marked and smaller than my box of stuffies so there'll be no problems. It's no wonder I was hitting their max package limits, each of these are near 60lbs
Are those flooded out by the dam blowing our next priority Vikki?

That's why I entered on your behalf, GQ.
Vikki, I have already been fortunate enough to win that fantastic cookbook. As amazing as those stamps are, I'd really like Girthquake to have them if that's alright with you. He's done so much more than I could, and he deserves them.

Aaron, you know - when i was reading Girthquake's post i was thinking that i would like to send him something as a gift to say thanks for his efforts and all that he did and does
and then i read your message - so i completely agree and i'll send the stamps set to him with a great pleasure
I think Bill would agree with us
Girthquake thank you for all you do!!! and send me your address

I'm monitoring the situation and now the volunteers are reporting that there is enough help - all of Ukraine and more united in helping. It will take more effort when the water is gone to eliminate the consequences.
But i thought it would be a good idea to send water purifiers to the volunteers.
This stuff works well(the picture below) - one bottle is enough to purify about 300 liters of water, if the water is very dirty, then about 150. One bottle costs about 2.5 usd - good price i suppose.
So if it's okay with the community, i'll order some using the money from the mom's and kids fund
You both are gonna make me tear up lol
In reply to VikkiDp :
100% in for Girthquake and 100% in for the purifiers
Girthquake, no problem at all, sir! I'll catch the box and relay it to Ira in Budapest.

He he. Girthquake, um... I may or may not have assigned you an "amount" of tickets
Okie dokie guys, it is official. I'm going to be SUPER busy this week and next. I'll try to get on here as much as I can, but here's a quick update:
Ok, so as you've seen we officially have our first boxes headed this way and I've just received a message from MatthewMCL as well (who is collecting baby clothes).
Miroslav has now confirmed that he will be driving AND is collecting donations of baby supplies. He reports that he sent out the request to "all corners" regarding the collection so I'm hoping we get some good stuff!
Donations are now open and running on the Blue Websight and the thread over there is being updated accordingly.
Our Kisgorbo fund is about 1/4 way there for this month, and is on track to be transferred on July 1st, and our GFM is now up to $600!
That being said, we do still have a few irons in the fire:
Our GFM is being spread throughout my family (who've been asking about the next drive) as well as the company I work for! I've received a few replies saying the recipients of my work e-mail have forwarded it on to other hub locations and I'm hoping for continued growth in that department.
We're still trying to reach out to any sort of media outlet that we think might be interested. We've had a bit of luck with podcasts recently as well as a few smaller news outlets in the past, but if you kow a place that you think would give a shoutout please feel free to send them any info you'd like.
Alrighty, with that lunch is over (I better get back to work). Cheers everyone!

Stay Safe and keep up the great work!
Girthquake, 84FSP, guys your prizes have been sent
Usually delivery takes about 10-14 day - i have the track numbers - so i'll keep an eye on the process
Thanks for your help and support
Hi everyone
It's a little quiet in the thread, but the help goes on
This week i ordered and paid for some baby food and diapers for a new family with 2 yo baby-boy and 2 boxes of water purifiers.
Also today i ordered meds for Sergey(this week he had a checkup), i'll pay and pick them up on Monday.
BTW his service in the UA army is still going on.
So we have the report below (the meds are not included yet)
Thanks you all
The water purifiers were sent to the cities of Nikopol' and Pokrov - they are located on the shore of the Kakhovka reservoir and almost immediately after the dam was blown up were left without water. These cities (especially often Nikopol') are also subject to daily artillery shelling from the left bank of the Dnipro - there's the nuclear power plant there and this part is occupied by russians (look at the map below)
Now water is delivered there in tanks and when it rained, people collected rainwater in buckets - so i think the purifiers will be very useful for people there - so I found people to help me hand out purifiers there I want to make sure that people get help
P.s. water is brought to Kherson in sealed bottles, and volunteers report that there's already enough help. So I decided to send help to these cities.
