The qualifying can be set up to score by lap times. As usual, clean laps take the cake.
Get started around 8:30. Expect to run behind. Set starting position to room score. Set points to top times. Stay delay to ten seconds. Next race (the real one) set score to finish position. Set delay to one second. Make sure you pad the countdown or remove it completely. I'll hop in last minute after racing home from work.
If anyone leaves or is booted, their score will be eliminated.
Yea, I was hoping for a 5-10 minute break between sessions for people to make adjustments, pee, smoke, make a sammich, yell at the dog, grab a beer, ect
I want you guys to hold off just until I can get home. Like I said, the Wifey will have it booted up already. I'll be there at about 9:05 eastern.
Wait, can you make adjustments in the lobby? If not, scores will be lost.
On the "Score By:" option, you can either have by laps or by lap times. On lap times, fastest lap wins. Dirty laps are placed behind clean laps, regardless of how much faster they might be.
In reply to N Sperlo:
In "time attack" mode, the cars become invisible and don't add the draft factor into it. The only way for you do have a dirty lap is if you screw up and go off. If we could use that for quali and have it arrange the grid from the results of that, I would be happy
You guys got it. That is the way we do it in the other racing league I'm in. Works out well, although we dont do rolling starts.
prep car/last adjustments after practice then start a qualifying lobby. If you want to adjust after qualifying you grid in the back since that is how it will position you anyway.
In other new i finished my paint job, I did a replica of the Mazd B-Spec 2 that ran at Thunderhill:
What do you guys think?
Is the Trans Am series slated to begin after the Spec B series is complete? Will both over and under 2 L run at the same time or will they be two seperate series?

Thanks for the clarification on the gridding and whatnot. So everybody will be lined up automatically after qualifying? Are we still doing a rolling start or standing? I'll probably have everyone muted but Duke...and I guess the Pole spot if we're doing rolling start. Sorry for being so damned particular. I just don't want to be "that guy" who doesn't know what the berkeley is going on...and I kinda already am since I can't really hear E36 M3 or talk.
No worries. Just need to clear everything before all hell breaks loose tonight. I am more worried about connection problems tonight than anyone not understanding what's going on

Trans-Am will not be starting tonight officially. But if people are up for it we can play around with it afterwards. Both classes will run at the same time. 8 of each class maximum. Toying with limiting cars to only two examples of each model, but I lean towards everyone should run what interests them. I'll be making a separate thread for Trans Am this evening.
You'll need to log in to post.
