I just missed qualifying, so then I hung out for the race and started from the back and by the time the parade lap was done I was the only car on course. Never ran the race, but I got last? Sweet, I'll take the points

So one thing that just occurred to me is that we could really easily do some sort of rewards points with wheel weight. The effect could be quite dramatic with such evenly matched cars. Basically, every points earning driver from the previous race adds wheels that weigh more than the spec Enkeis equal to the points they won. So in the most recent race, I finished 2nd, earning 18 points, so I have to run wheels that weigh 18 lbs more than the spec ones in the next race.
Or just go through and assign 1st - 32 lbs, 2nd - 30 lbs, 3rd - 28 lbs, etc. based on where you are in the standings table.
I dunno, probably too late to mess with it when we're already two races in, but it could be fun (and funny... Race winners wearing something and would help the back markers and maybe keep the series championship nice and tight.
Unfortunately, research shows that there aren't that many levels. From our base weight of the spec Enkeis RPF1s, we can only do the following:
+52, +27, +24, +20, +17, +15, +14, +12, +10, +7, +4, +0, -3.
With these available options, I would have it based on the previous race finishing position (1st + 52, 2nd +27, 3rd +24, etc., with 12th and below on the spec wheels, and anybody with no points in the championship at all on the -3 lbs wheels).

First of all I REALLY hated to bail on you last night but the fingers on my rt. hand went totally numb with 5 laps to go in B-spec. I knew running in the TA event just wouldn't be a pleasant experience. I missed that first TA event had already occurred. Hopefully I can make the next one.
If using the assigned wt. method, can you just add wt to the cars in Forza?
Clean 1:02's at Suzuka dr0nk. Hopefully the thousands of dollars spent playing 355 Challenge at Dave & Busters will finally pay off.
Can you just straight add weight to individual car?
Also, I like the idea of the previous winner having to wear the blingy wheels. Take that fast people.
The wheels just add weight to the overall weight. There's nothing to show that they've actually modeled un-sprung weight into the game.
And if you go to sport weight reduction, it adds over a hundred pounds to the cars.

I just thought that would be too severe, and there are so many fewer levels so only two or three people would get the rewards.
So are you guys running an "official" T/A points series after the B spec?
Also someone posted a BRE themed Versa in the club garage, any way I can get the tune gifted to me? I want to come "prey" with you guys.

That's mine. What's your gamer tag?
Since I didn't manage to save the replay I've been waiting for some race pic. to show up before I vote for coolest car of the race. The three I did get a good look at are stigs, the green car that's on the previous page, and the Yaris with the R,W,& blue livery looked really good. I hope to be able to get a look at the others before I decide.
Just got done racing with the Turn 10 devs. B class at Camino Extreme for 3 laps. Finished 2nd and picked up a BMW M3 GTR unicorn car!
If you wanted it to be more competitive you could do reverse grid qualifying. Or we could just all get better. I was hoping for a good race until flipping first lap ended it early. Pics to come...
Figured while I'm at it I'll post a pic of a Mazda 2 I took at Mid Ohio last weekend during the grand-am race:
Then a couple pics from the first green lap:
My first flip on lap 1:
And a sequence of the second. 3 wide doesn't work here:
Now I know how the Delta Wing feels. Lol
In reply to AtticusTurbo27: Ah.....no. three wide doesn't work there....that was me in the BRE Nissan. I never saw the blue car coming up on me

Haha I didn't even know he was there. I saw you and gave room. I didnt even know what the hell happened until I saw the replay. It's all good, on to the next one!

Of the cars I've been able to get a decent look at I like your Nissan a little better. Overall it's a good looking group of race cars. IMO.

Thanks!
The #44 BRE Nissan gets my vote as well.
Seem to spend a lot of time running with friedgreencorrado...
Little solo practice session at Suzuka produced a couple 1:00.9xx.... now if I could just replicate that....

Heh. Yeah, that was fun! Seems like every time I caught you, I'd make a mistake and had to reel you in all over again--until I ran the tires off, and couldn't catch you anymore. I noticed that I finished ahead of you by several places..were you the guy on the roof late-race down at 7a? Map for reference:
Haven't even tested at Suzuka East yet..I think I'll go get started.
Aside to the group, voting thestig99 for livery, and negative on "rewards weight". I really don't think an algorithm any less complicated than the one in iRacing would replicate it well. IMHO, it would just make the series more complicated..and getting the rolling starts (which I still support) done still seems to be complicated enough.
