DukeOfUndersteer wrote: Tonight was very beneficial. Lots of feedback on what cars have too much power and what cars need help. The Fiesta definitely has the power advantage right now. The problem is the motor is bone stock. We could give breaks to other cars to even it up, or ditch the Fiesta entirely. The Kia needs some help power wise. Other than that, the cars are pretty similar. They all have a different strong and weak point. I had tons of fun tonight and look forward to tomorrow, where we can tweak on the cars that need help and I can start practicing with the manual with a clutch. I need to catch up to Racerfink!
IMO (considering how much the physical model in Forza rewards HP), the other cars on race compound tires could use an intake/exhaust upgrade without upsetting the balance too much. Weren't we talking about how so many of the chassis available in F4 are actually the "hot-rod" version of the base model car? Fiesta Sport/Abarth 500, etc.
In reply to friedgreencorrado:
Yea, people have kinda stepped away from using the Fiesta and 500 in the last heats we had tonight. The rest of the field is more or less equal except for the Kia.
We can try throwing a "Street" intake and exhaust on all the cars and trying stock brakes on them tomorrow.

Me too!
In reply to DukeOfUndersteer: I think the Kia just needs five horsepower, and maybe a lighter flywheel to help acceleration.
As for the brakes, with the longer races we do, stock brakes would get very long by the end. I think the street brakes would be good, as they'd lengthen the braking zone, and they'd still be consistent throughout the race.
you might want to consider using a clutch over the flywheel...it seems to have a better overall effect than a flywheel,imo...
do we have a list of eligable cars- or can we use other cars from F class like the liana,ect...it might be good to have a limit-for tech/build/performance reasons...
Here's the SCCA rulebook for B-spec...

Figured out some of the problems I was having and shaved 3-5 sec a LAP. Still WAY behind, but getting closer.
Oh and fixed my Kinect microphone. It wasn't calibrated. Oh and I couldn't hear anyone after I was muted.
This sounds fun. Maybe I'll have to actually get Xbox Live... y'all need someone to come is last every time

They're on the first page
In reply to racerfink:
Should we start with the street flywheel on it, then move up from there if necessary?
The World Challenge race is coming on in 15, so I'm gonna watch that and eat some lunch, then "dork" myself for the day!

Printing this off...thanks!
So, since my Scion xD isn't listed, it's not legal
I finally had time to sign up for an Xbox live acct. My gamertag is: Graefin 10. I've sent friend requests to friedgreen; antistance; poop; and turbo javelin. As you can, please send me a friend request. Thanks.
I don't have a mic, which one would you recommend?
I built and tested all available cars, with the exception of the Kia, at Iberian and after quick tunes and a few laps was within 0.8 sec. with each car in the high 1:06s-mid1:07s. Slow but consistent I guess I can say.
No time to make them look like race cars yet so I'll be the one with the plain jane, stock color, rides with a set of Empis.
In reply to friedgreencorrado:
Hey, thanks for the instructions. That makes sense and I'll see if I can pull it off as soon as I have time. Good job on the B&S logo. I remember seeing that at the run-offs a few times.
You'll need to log in to post.
