Does anyone here have the app called untapped. If you do leave your username.
Mine is Pav5069
I actually stay away from that stuff for my own good.
I can totally rant about Untapped/Rate Beer ratings.

The ratings are absurd. I use it to see what cool stuff my buddies have found so I can ask them to grab some for me. Also, same name as here.

I've managed to avoid it, but a couple of my friends are on it. I'm a member of a FB beer group and just post reviews of beers I try. There is no "rating system" though.
Yes I agree I like the beer advocate ratings better but its such a pain rating on there. untapped is cool to see what is around you and see what others are drinking

Even Beer Advocate. Look at their list of top beers. It is all Imperial Stout and Imperial IPA with a handful of either BIG or sour Belgian beers - bonus points for being barrel aged or incredibly difficult to find.
I had a couple beers last night.. My "recommended" beers were all from Founders.
Ok, they are good and all, but I can ride my bicycle there.

Beer advocate definitely leans one way for sure. After reading some of the reviews there though on some local beers that people somehow have gotten out of state that they review poorly. The beer is counterfeit, which I never thought would happen, or there taste buds are dead. Or the beer was shipped or aged poorly.
Of all of them, Untappd is almost the best rating system out there, if you understand what it is and what it isn't. It doesn't actually tell you how good a beer is. What it tells you is how much someone enjoyed drinking it.
At least that's useful for me, as long as I realize what I'm really selling is an experience.
