You know, no E36 M3 yesterday I set up an auto-deposit to start setting aside a little cash each month for a Factory Five Type 65 Coupe, after decided it was my dream car and the sooner I can buy it the faster I'm not constantly buying different cars.
Then you show me this, goddammit.

Nobody owns their dream car.

That's just silly, we're talking 50k, max for a decent little Coupe build. Achievable within the decade if I work at it.
Think about what I said in a bit more abstract manner :).
I think Magnus has got it right:
Autoblog said: His stated goal is to collect one of every 911 between built between 1964 and 1973, and so far, he's only missing the youngest of that group.
I think accepting that you're going to be chasing the next one until you're dirt is a clearer path to peace than assuming the next one is going complete you forever. That's not to say saving up for a FFR 65 Coupe isn't a fantastic idea, those things are beautiful. Maybe you should do that AND keep bringing home lovable strays here and there :).

Even philosophically it's a bit iffy. I know a guy who's dream was own own a MkI Browning Hi-Power, and he bought a cherry one about a year ago. I don't think he's even looked at other pistols since.
Now in my case, you're probably right and I'm just deluding myself that I can stop the sickness.
Back on topic: does anyone know how this guy bankrolls it all? The internet seems to lead me to a clothing company with the world's worst website...
His girlfriend/partner owns Willow Film Locations, which I guess is just a big warehouse turned into sets for movies and such.
My guess is that adult entertainment, commercials, photographers, etc pay pretty good money for such a place.

By the time that a decade has passed, you will have had several different dream cars.
And fifty grand won't be E36 M3.
He has a thread over on Pelican that is a fantastic way to kill half a day. He's a genuinely cool dude.
In reply to mazdeuce:
Pelican is where I found the video link.
If anyone wants a fantastic way to kill half a year, start with the "King of the Mountain RSR" thread.
The thread on Pelican isn't bad, but I prefer the thread of the same title over on early911Sregistry.org
I'm looking forward to the full-length of this. Dude made some very good life decisions. I is jealous.
