Anyone else have an insiders scoop on this? Something to do with the FAA's NOTAM's system crash?

I swear if the stoplights all stop working I'm calling Bruce Willis.
They were. I was stuck in Atlanta but it was just lifted minutes ago.
I have a friend who was scheduled to fly out of Denver early this morning–after being stuck in a hotel room with Covid for a while. Ugh.
It's the beginning of the Robot Revolution!
Sitting in Columbus and already delayed, cancelled rebooked, delayed and no guarantees I will make my connection
I'd bet money it turns out to be an ID-10T error.

I remember when a colleague was touring DC and sent me a picture of the FAA headquarters near/on the Mall.
I asked if he could smell the incompetence from outside of the building, and he replied saying there was a notable whiff of stale urine and dirty laundry.
Had about a 1-hour delay flying from Cincinnati to Orlando today. Still made it to Sebring to have a couple beers before crashing for the night. Could have been worse, all things considered.

Someone I talk with on a normal basis is getting hints that it may have been a hack through DHS channels. Whether that is true or not is to be determined. I kinda doubt we'd ever know the true reason.
So..... NOTAM system in US crashes.... backup system also crashes....
...the completely unlinked Canadian NAV system (same function) has serious issues....
... corrupted file? Yeaahhhhh

Probably not.
My tin-foil-hat got pulled out yesterday when the Cloud-based PM software we use went down for a few hours as well. Probably just a coincidence, but maybe...
I accused my good friend who is a Captain for Delta of playing Asteroids on the FAA computer in the pilot lounge again yesterday ... I think it was his doing !!!

Flying out of Denver is roulette in itself. I've spent many of nights on the terminal floor there during layovers. So much so that if any travel takes me through Denver, I bring a mini pillow and blanky.

I've gamed the Denver missed connection several times.
Low on sky miles, just book the last connecting flight (around 9:30 PM IIRC) - miss the connection - get valuable sky miles.
Don't attempt during times of the year with unreliable weather as no sky miles for you in that case.

Denver is better than ohare, where flights go to die. I've had more problems with connecting flights to/from Chicago than any other airport.
