ehh, I'm just jerking your chain Poop. I didn't think anyone else realized the distance from Atlanta to Savannah...
$1000 Lumina
$1000 Accord WAGON
$1200 Explorer, build yer own Ranger!
$1200 V6 Camaro...looks too good to be true....
Aaaaah. Got it. Damn. That's the cheapest accord wagon I've seen in a while.
Just wanted to say, you picked a very nice area of the world for a honeymoon.
I lived in Charleston for about 4 years and spent more than a few nights in Savannah. The group here is right, go to water/river(can't remeber) street and have fun but it is a tourist hell hole. Get a to go cup of beer and walk around. The trolley tours are actually nice.
I recommend this place http://www.macphersonspub.com/ They have tons of scotch and I had this ham and cheese with honey and granny smith sandwich that was out of this world.
I saw that accord wagon. Kind of dug it.
Ive got that pub written down. I like pubs... and sandwiches, scotch (not so much) If I'm going to have my wife leave me it wont be over scotch.
I appreciate all the ideas. I know nothing about that area but Sarah and I sat down and said.... where have we never been? We had California, Texas, Iowa, Pennsylvania, VA, Florida and all around covered so we settled on GA (we both have passed through it a lot but never stayed)
I flew to both PN and TX to buy trucks and drove them home for fun.
The wife and I drove from Greenville, SC to Key West, FL for our engagement trip, passing through Savannah. Nice town, I wish we'd spent more time there. Wish I could think of something to recommend there, too...we were kindof intent on hustling our Corvair down to Key West, as you can imagine!
Thw8t, I think there's an opportunity to turn this into an all-out banger rally here... ;-) That is, if Mr. and Mrs. Thetank don't mind company on their romantic getaway.
The Mrs and I have been contemplating a trip out to Phoenix (her brother lives there) to celebrate our pregnancy and the completion of our rental house remodeling. I'd love to buy something out there and drive it back to Maryland, but I wonder if that might be too much of an adventure for the expectant Mrs. VCH...
Hey, glad to help. Also in the way of good eats - check out The Crab Shack on Tybee. It's a little tourist trappy, but the food's good and the atmosphere on the deck is un-freakin-believable. Look for signs to it on the right just after you come onto the island.

The North Beach bar and grill that I mentioned earlier has really good food but it's more of a lunch joint.

She already got us reservations at some resteraunt she saw in a movie or something. She starts talking and I just shut down and agree sometimes....
If anythings too hokey we will just bounce, lol.
