This is pretty cool!

Lay film on water, shoot the back side with glue and roll your part in.

Cool but I can't help but think "Great, another way for everything to be covered in flames, skulls, fake carbon fiber and harley logos"

Someone on the 924board had some of his engine parts done with that. He chose a CF look, which was pretty cheezy when he did his valve cover and intake manifold, but it came out looking good.

I wonder how durable that film is. I assume you have to clear wheels and bangable parts, but if you nick it prior to clear?

A few people that I've talked say it's pretty durable. A lot bikes get painted with this and I assume it holds up to fuel on gas tanks.

Its darn durable, its a transfer print. Couple bows that I have been looking at lately have this done and they get pulled through all of creation and still look decent.
