The trick here is letting the pooper know that they are known, but without letting them know it's YOU who knows. You don't want them to turn their attention to you specifically, making yourself a target to someone like this. Remain anonymous throughout this process, and more importantly keep us weirdos updated.

I agree, I definitely wouldn't want to have any chance of becoming a target. 

Extra internet points for a thread that uses both "malfeasant defecator" AND "malicious fecal distribution" before finishing page 1!

Whilst generally it is in ones best interest to comply with the requests of the authorities, best guess is that only a trail cam convenient to take down by someone on foot would be removed in any short order.  One mounted high up, perhaps even looking down is both less noticeable and far more complicated to remove.   

Just an $0.02 to get rid of this nasty Berkleyer.

the worst part about all this. I have crohn's disease. I have literally pooped just about everywhere. If I can avoid doing it in a public area, I am. If I can't, I keep a shovel in my truck to bury it. I also keep one of those little portable tent like shower outhouse things that pop up in seconds for those times I cannot find shelter.

Just need to train the AI to only fire at a squatting body:

Fortunately, we also haven't noticed any new piles along the path. That could just be because weather has been kind of gross and wet lately, but I dunno...
