Reading that thread makes me very sad. My condolences to his family, he will be missed around these parts.

Yeah - shivers.
I'm talking with his wife right now via e-mail. When/if I get details I'll share them here.
He was a caring man. The last time we talked it was because he heard about my wife's health scare and was checking in. His accident happened a little while after that so I was busy with taking care of my wife and kids after almost loosing her so I hadn't kept up with him very well after his accident.
I've never felt like such a bad friend. I'm surprised how hard this is hitting me.
Sorry, don't mean to make this about me.

You're not a bad friend. Life takes us on some strange paths sometimes. I don't know you or Andy very well at all, but I know the general timbre of grm quite well. I know that we all have things were all very passionate about. I know that we all give what we can. No one will ever fault you for taking care of you. There are plenty of moments you can't get back, but there are plenty of ways you can move forward. Try not to beat yourself up over what could have been. Hug your wife, hug your kids, and be thankful for what you do have.
Sorry the hear this. I remember his thread about the trials bike accident. There have been quite a few missing recently that were active. Mark Wemple comes to mind.
Dammit, he was one of the 2008 crew. I had no idea his bike wreck was that serious. Never met Andy in real life that I know of, but he was a good influence on here.
The screen name Happy Andy, paired with the Go Dog Go avatar was always such a positive, calming force. He absolutely *had* to be a nice guy.
I am sad.
I never had to worry seeing the Go Dog Go avatar, because Andy was always positive here. He always had something nice to say.
I'll second the positive force comments. Definitely will be missed.
I think I'll call some friends today I haven't spoken to in a while...
Realizing the impact that something as small as an avatar from go dog go can have, I edited my own avatar in hopes of better reflecting who I am.
Damn. He was an awesome contributor here. He will be missed.
RIP HappyAndy. If there is anything we can do to help, please keep us in the loop.
